Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök isn't a bad game, but it isn't particularly fantastic either. You can still have a good time with Dawn of Ragnarök if you're still craving Valhalla after hours of gameplay. Svartalfheim is a gorgeous place to wander around, although it has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed.
Submerged: Hidden Depths is an exploration game that aims to bring peace and tranquility to players. However, it is best not to try to finish this game quickly. Take your time, find the collectibles, explore everything to see, and complete the game. This is because there is a lot to see, a lot to take in, and a lot to appreciate here.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition does an excellent job of presenting to a new audience a period in Square Enix history that many may have forgotten. It achieves this by including two fantastic games in one package. However, there is little doubt that it might have been better as a remaster.
The Ascent can be great fun with three other like-minded players. There are lots to explore in Veles and many challenges. On the flip side, much of the game falls apart or is otherwise tedious solo.
If you're a follower of the series, Rune Factory 5 is a solid choice. In terms of gameplay, it's an excellent choice for individuals who want to unwind in peaceful, cheerful, and vivid surroundings and those who like being swept up in a deluge of content. However, despite its potential and the story's intriguing premise, Rune Factory 5 falls short compared to comparable titles.
MLB The Show 22 is probably the best release of this series. MLB: The Show, in terms of yearly sporting games, sticks to being a comprehensive simulator with a wide range of features to attract a wider range of players. Even with a few new features like online co-op and commentary, I can't deny that this is largely the same game as last year.
This first title from developer Thinking Stars is a mixed bag. Some of it works, while others don't. It's as though the game is only the beginning of something greater, like an anime pilot or a prequel to a novel. Its stunning 2.5D pixel graphics and deceptive depth get obscured by its overly complicated story and unpredictable course of Ann's journey.
Weird West is one of the rare role-playing games where players genuinely change the environment with their actions and choices. The considerable potential and ambitions of the game collide with the scope and funding, which reflected inadequacy, yet WolfEye Studios delivered a game that offers a unique experience.
Borderlands has many of the same features, but Tiny Tina's Wonderlands adds new ones, like spells that are useful throughout the story. One of the game's most notable aspects is the uniqueness of its conversation and the presence of Tina as its Dungeon Master. Expansion for Borderlands 3, however, would have been much better off as an expansion since it's too short to justify the price tag and too lengthy to cover up a lack of fresh ideas.
Impostor Factory is a memorable experience that makes the player go through a series of emotions. The story is interesting, the characters are charming, and the gameplay mechanics are simple as they can be. It could be said that the game is, in fact, different than what we are used to from Freebird Games, but it is a fresh change regardless
Though it has its ups and downs, Kena: Bridge of Spirits ultimately brings exploration, puzzle-platforming, and close combat in a way that feels like a magical cinematic experience. It is important to remember just how ambitious of a game Kena: Bridge of Spirits is. It tries to achieve greatness in all aspects, balancing exploration with puzzles and a dazzlingly fascinating world on top of well-made characters
Ghostwire: Tokyo is memorable and eerily elegant but lacks depth. The open world is worth exploring to experience the incredible detail and the alluring additions to Shibuya brought by the fog, but it doesn’t do more than games before it has.
Ancient Islands provides a rigid structure to its map mechanics that is quite a bit tighter than other games in the same genre. Its art style gave off the feel of an old-school tower defense game, and the music and sounds were alright, and it gave off the vibe of a Flash game.
The 6-hour adventure gives Kaito the chance to shine and showcase that Yagami's partner can stand on his own. Lost Judgment was already an outstanding adventure, and The Kaito Files is more of what made that adventure unforgettable.
Death Stranding Director's Cut is a rare game that has no middle ground. It delivers a unique experience that encourages planning and patience but places high action on only rare situations. It falls under the umbrella that if you like this gameplay style, you're going to love Death Stranding, and if you don't, there's nothing for you here.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land delivers the same charm and wonder that the franchise is known for but in a refreshing way with realistic things such as cars and soda machines. The phenomenal visuals are complemented by the excellent level design and boss fights along with challenging encounters for those seeking them.
Medieval Dynasty had been in early access for over a year. While it is now officially released, it doesn’t feel completely done. There is still a lot of meat to satisfy diehard simulator fans. But others might want to wait until even more features are added.
Whether or not this new version of the game is worth the money will be up to you, but there’s no doubt that Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a highly enjoyable, highly relaxing, and novel take on an age-old genre.
Syberia: The World Before is a significant next step in the franchise's storyline. Longtime fans will find both challenges and joy in this installment. But being this deep into the narrative means that it is no place for newcomers, even diehard point and click adventure fans.
Expedition Zero is a tough journey through horrible conditions that can often feel one-sided. On the surface, it seems like a great horror adventure but that tone will change after your first instant death. If you are willing to deal with the technical issues and insanely aggressive monster AI, Expedition Zero will give you that gripping and intense feeling only horror games can deliver.
