Assuming concentration is a problem worth solving (an assumption lacking the solidest of foundations), I will argue there are better, significantly more efficient, ways to address it than through another game from a device that's otherwise a regular dopamine provider by its own rights.

With the variety in levels, the large number of missions, and the historical depth, I really enjoyed what Sudden Strike 4 had to offer.

I have a great deal of difficulty putting in words just how much I love Hellblade. It's just that powerful.

A surprisingly deep RPG experience that is as dynamic as it is customisable. The cast is completely up to the player, making it a unique experience for each and every person who plays it. The narrative is on the light-side, but that makes it perfect for short bursts at a time.

For those who like a bit of challenge in their puzzle games and can look past some basic presentation, Death Squared has enough to satisfy the most daring player.

It is the small, seemingly insignificant details of The Lion's Song that will make you smile the most as you explore the four episodic chapters of the game. It's purely story-driven stuff, but with wonderful characters, all dealing with very real (and easily relateable) creative challenges, this is a game that provides players with a real look into the human psyche, and where the world's great ideas and art come from.

Masquerada is a rare gem of a game in which everything about it comes together just perfectly to give plays a consistent and cohesive experience.

Is Omega Heroes something especially new and exciting? No. But familiar and fun proves to be just as great.

It's true that Bullet Soul Infinite Burst doesn't offer the obvious new stages, characters, or difficulty options that would have guaranteed a double dip for fans of the original. Despite this, Infinite Burst warrants existing because of a single new mode that is so endlessly captivating.

Valkyrie Drive is the sort of game that you'll either love or loathe, and that's going to come as no surprise to those of us who fall into the category of the former. The important thing about this game is that despite what anyone has to say about the various stages of nudity, it's perfectly playable and delivers exactly what it sets out to – boobs, butt, and brawling.

Cat Quest is a game about a cat going on an adventure, nothing more and nothing less, but I'll tell you what: it's a bloody good adventure.

Overall, Hey! Pikmin is a good offering to the franchise considering its status as a spin-off. It may not play at all like the original Pikmin, but it's a close enough relative that taking the reins feels natural.

I really like CastleStorm, and I'm so pleased with what Zen Studios has done to make the VR version of it a meaningful upgrade. We're well overdue for a proper sequel though. There's so much more that Zen Studios can do with the base formula, and I really think this has the potential to grow into a very substantial franchise.

Accel World vs. Sword Art Online offers more of the same to those who already sunk a decent amount of time into Sword Art Online: Lost Song, but the world is thoroughly rejuvenated by Accel World's fresh blood. By providing a serviceable story as a driving force and then honing in on meaningful character interactions, Millennium Twilight becomes essential for Reki Kawahara fans.

Serial Cleaner is one hell of a game. It captures the style and appeal of the seventies greatly, layering it with a surreal 'job' to do, and a solid sense of humour.

Enemies and locations are varied enough to keep things from getting stale, a selection of upgrades add a sense of progression and customisation, and though this isn't a game that could work just as well without VR, it's implemented well. Really, the gameplay is there to service the story, which is where Archangel shines brightest, and I'm just fine with that.

It's a little limited for what I ultimately want VR to deliver, but it's worthwhile nonetheless.

Not much has changed in the years since Planet Minigolf, but the not much needed to. This is still an excellent little game, and it's a good fit for the Switch's portable functions.
