The whole experience does work better in handheld mode, but doesn't feel as good as the tv mode should if it worked properly. In the end, even the biggest puppy dog eyes can't convince you spend another ten minutes trying to throw a couple of frisbees.
Sairento VR was originally released in 2018 before it was done cooking. A year later, with some more time in the oven, and this is honestly a must-have VR title for anyone with even a passing interest in action games, ninjas, or good old-fashioned slow-motion combat.
With even more tools and features than before, Super Mario Maker 2 is a fantastic level-making package deserving of its number.
The Sinking City has an incredible atmosphere that really grips the darkest parts of your mind. Oakmont feels hostile, unwelcoming and full of secrets, but the game makes it clear that it might cost more than just your life to find out what they are. While it stumbles with its characters and combat, The Sinking City is a great first step into the supernatural detective game.
Between crazy customisation, adventure mode time attacks and endless amounts to do in arcade mode both solo and with friends, CTR Nitro-Fueled excels at offering a valued sense of replayability that'll most certainly keep players making return trips to channel their need for speed.
So, should you consider upgrading from F1 2018 to 2019 or making your first purchase of an F1 game this year?
My Friend Pedro is an addictive experience and a mesmerising shoot-em-up that, though failing to deliver a good story, takes you on a violent ballet filled with blood, bullets and bananas.
It's a shame because the golfing basics feel so good once you get to grips with them that it seems a shame there's no real reason to keep testing your skills. Leaderboards offer a small incentive, but less asynchronous multiplayer would've been appreciated.
Beat Saber is the perfect recipe for a rhythm game. Easy to pick up, difficult to put down, and a wealth of complexity to explore once it has you hooked.
Sony London Studio has delivered a PSVR must-buy, a playable action movie packed with guns, grime and gangsters.
Fighting in the middle of fortified cities is a great setting for these battles.
"Does this unit have a soul?" Fans will recognize the quote to belong to Legion from the Mass Effect series, an AI who ultimately, leaves it up to the player on whether artificial intelligence can have a soul or not. If narratively shallow yet entertaining movies are popcorn flicks, Rage 2 is the ultimate popcorn game, and that’s okay.
That being said, the tracks themselves are refined and tight enough, so much so that will welcome new players, but will reward those who take the time to learn where they can shave vital milliseconds off their lap times. The sound design is solid enough – the title music is memorable and reminiscent of something out of Persona 5, which can only be a good thing.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is an outstanding game that not only manages to deliver an impressively constant and tense tone, but also a really gripping story that will have to push through your vermin soaked nightmares to find out what happens next.
MORDHAU had such a huge launch that server issues were a problem for quite a lot of people, however in my hefty hours of gameplay I didn't experience a single issue and have been offered a ton of gold in compensation for issues I never even faced.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered has fleeting moments of brilliance, marred by some older genre tropes that show the original game's age.
The soundtrack also makes a huge impression, again with each area having a different style of track. From creepy industrial house music to surf guitar riffs, you'll be doing a shoulder dance while you paint the town red.
Dance of Death: Du Lac and Fey is as awkward to play as it is to say. The interesting concepts can't save it from being a rather disappointing outing for the legendary characters.
Post-apocalyptic Oregon is clearly a place developer Bend Studio have thought a lot about, and crafted with tremendous amounts of care and attention to detail.
