Are you looking for something to chill your bones? Something to make the shadows seem that much longer and the night that much darker?
In Bloodborne, things are going to be tough, you're going to die, and, most importantly, you're going to have one hell of a good time.
Mario Party 10 ends up feeling like an effort to streamline the series in the hopes to appeal to a wider audience. While Mario Party 10 is still a great party game and fun to play with friends,the fun is short lived due to small boards and a lack of any customization. The mini-games and boss fights are a lot of fun, and some of the bonus modes are a nice distraction, but those don't hold up the game on their own.
We're now officially halfway through Telltale's trip through Westeros, and the twists and turns show no signs of stopping.
There are some new elements of course, but where I expected a build on the previous game's mechanics into a brand new experience instead became the same basic feel in a different scenario.
It's a terrifically smart and fun adventure, and the stakes feel very real, even when we're not exactly sure just what the maguffin is or does. Things are just getting interesting for our characters though, and we can't wait to find out what happens next.
Type-0 HD's "Mature" rating and blood-filled imagery should be telltale signs that we're in for a different kind of Final Fantasy experience heading onto the new systems. Unfortunately, Type-0 HD doesn't rectify the shortcomings of its predecessors and simply rehashes the mistakes of the past while doing very little to update an already outdated PSP title.
White Night's distinctive visual style make it immediately identifiable; artistically, this game's a success. Its few shortcomings aren't to be overlooked, however, as its sluggish, frequently directionless, and deliberately archaic in its design. Don't come in expecting jump scares and big gore; this is a slow-burning experience with an emphasis on style and atmosphere.
The game doesn't always flow perfectly, but Codename S.T.E.A.M is certainly a fun little strategy title.
Despite not doing anything particularly new, Tipping Stars still a great puzzle game that does a nice job straddling the line between fun and frustrating.
That said, players who opt for a fiscally healthier expenditure will be missing out on a solid Sid Meier experience, since Starships is a space odyssey that's definitely worth your time.
