- Omno
Jul 30, 2021

I watched the trailer for Omno with that thrill rising inside me that only a well-put-together taster can inspire. I knew that I had to see what this title was all about. Were those tempting images gameplay, or simply a montage of cutscenes put there to whet my appetite? Read my Rapid Review below to find out answers to this question, and more.

You may be wondering why we are reviewing What The Golf? again when it was reviewed already over a year ago by our good selves. Well, it has had no less than one thousand new levels added in a recent update adding even more madness into this eclectic, uncanny package. I will cover the game a little because this is perhaps the first time you have heard of the game.

Crime Opera: The Butterfly Effect is a visual novel centred around a crime family and the Gallo children. I didn’t know too much about the game before jumping in and I think this is the best way to approach it; much like reading a book, you’ll be faced with twists and turns in the story which are split up into chapters. There are some very dark themes explored so if you’re looking for a light story to switch off with this one probably isn’t for you.

Pecaminosa is a pixel noir adventure. I played as an ex-cop with a dream for revenge. I navigated an interconnected world, met an interesting cast of characters, and enjoyed a wonderful jazz soundtrack all throughout. Is this adventure one worth going on? Find out in this Rapid Review.

Death’s Door is one of those rare games that grab your attention straight away and keeps it for the length of its journey. At its core, Death’s Door is both a Zelda and a Soulsboune clone. However, the two-man team over at Acidnerve have crafted something that’s both an excellent mix of genres, whilst also remaining original. Death’s Door understands what makes these two genres great and rather than imitation, it refines and expands on these points.

It’s hard not to go into a title published by Ratalaika Games without a bit of scepticism. Don’t get me wrong, they’re rarely outright bad games. And hey, achievement or trophy hunters certainly get a buzz from the easy selection each title offers. Their games just rarely do much to engross the player and instead feature gameplay mechanics that have typically been done much better elsewhere.

What would you do if you were a sentient AI? In I, AI by Satur Entertainment and Sometimes You tries to answer that question. You play an AI that is designed to create military-grade weapons on a space station.
