9.5 / 10.0 - Cocoon
Sep 30, 2023

Where Cocoon shines is in its creativity. Bosses, level design, and use of puzzles, all through its use of orbs, are extremely fun. Plus, every section ends without overstaying its welcome.

Gears 5 more than lives up to that legacy. With only a couple hiccups, Gears 5 delivers a nearly flawless campaign I cannot endorse more wholeheartedly.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a fantastic video game adaptation, and sequel fans have been waiting for, that nails the gameplay mechanics for combat, and captures the core aesthetics of the anime series. I will say that the price for the DLC is pretty high at $39.99. However, the amount of content and new features you get is well worth it.

9 / 10.0 - Borderlands 3
Sep 21, 2019

Borderlands 3 is just another Borderlands game. I came for a Borderlands game and I definitely got one. The game is not novel, at least in regards to mechanics, but it's a fantastic game nonetheless, especially for its story and characters. It feels the same, plays the same, and all my expectations have been met. It's a game I would recommend to anyone.

9 / 10.0 - Layers of Fear 2
Jun 4, 2019

Although less scary than the previous game, Layer of Fear 2 is a beautiful but chilling game with wonderful writing and voice-acting. It maintains pieces of the first game that many loved while changing enough so that it doesn't feel repetitive.

Throughout A Plague Tale, Amicia has to face reality and do horrible things; she is constantly faced with the question of how much is she willing to lose to keep Hugo safe. Just how far will they go to survive? It’s a beautiful, poetic game filled with human monsters who are willing to commit unspeakable atrocities. But, at its core, it's about the bond formed between two siblings.

The Division 2 does some things great, a lot of things good, and a few things bad, but with the team over at Massive Entertainment having proven their transparency and that they are on top of issues, I can tell that the game will only get better as it ages.

9 / 10.0 - Slay The Spire
Dec 7, 2019

Overall, I loved Slay the Spire and it definitely deserves the nomination for Fresh Indie Game at the Game Awards, which airs on December 12th. Historically, I’m not a fan of roguelike games, but Slay the Spire made me reconsider my position

Overall, “Return to Jurassic Park” is a wonderful and expansive DLC. Instead of just dropping in nostalgic designs, this expansion goes above and beyond to craft a new gameplay experience for players. Which, at a $19.99 price, is the best thing about it.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a sublime WWII combat game, featuring a still very polished gameplay mechanic, great combat, and satisfying reward. The remastering makes the experience fresh and new, and while the level design is rather dated, the game still feels great, and even many degree better now than before.
