Unscored - Titanium Hound
Mar 12, 2023

Titanium Hound tries to gain a foothold in the genre of 2D retro arcades that make use of pixelart by introducing some original and innovative mechanics, which will surely be loved by some but hated by others. If we add to the garnish the existence of unintuitive puzzles that border on frustration, we will have as a final cocktail a somewhat frustrating game that no longer depends on the player's ability, an almost essential requirement for an action game, leaving everything with a rather cold final feeling. adrenaline lover. An interesting title, especially because of the novelty of its mechanics, which act as a double-edged sword and that surely not everyone will like, and that will entertain us during the barely 3 and a half hours it takes us to complete it. Mention that the game ends abruptly and suddenly, giving a final impression that it has ended quickly and running without polishing many details, such as the recycling of final bosses.

We really liked this colourful and casual version of the DC Universe that will be ideal for all the family members even if you are not a comic geek. Also the coop mode is quite fun and enjoyable for parents and children. The humour is a constant during the whole game and the dialogues between the main characters are very funny and full of references to the comics. Maybe the combat is the weakest part of the game but it will maintain the interest during the 10-15 hours (maybe more if you want all the collectibles) that the main story lasts.

If you are a Metroidvania lover, you will surely love this title, since it has interesting ideas, although it is not as ambitious as the great releases in this genre that we have enjoyed in recent years. The interesting emerging narrative and the medium difficulty level make it very attractive for the general public and considering its price, it may be a most interesting acquisition to enjoy between 6 and 10 hours with our PC or Steam Deck.

With Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe we find the improved and definitive version of one of the best Kirby titles as well as one of the most beloved by fans, now in high definition and at 60 FPS with a renewed and very interesting visual aspect. and aesthetic. In addition, the game contains succulent additions such as the inclusion of a new ending/epilogue of the adventure and a multitude of mini-games that will make the evenings more enjoyable in the company of other players, yes, always locally. An adventure not very challenging, but fun to play, whose conclusion will take us about 7 hours in its main adventure and barely 2 hours in the case of its epilogue.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers us an action game with touches of RPG set in a fictitious end of the Chinese Han dynasty. A soulslike in which learning from our mistakes will be vital for the good future of history. It has a difficulty that dances hand in hand with that frenetic action as well as fun that Team Ninja has accustomed us to. If you like the genre, it is a highly recommended and fun game to add to your collection, since after overcoming its initial peak of difficulty it will become a more affordable option. As a great incentive, mention its online mode, which will allow us to finish the adventure in the company of a friend. Completing the game will be a challenge that will cost us a lot, guaranteeing that it will be a good many hours that will hardly go below 40.

Unscored - Seven Doors
Feb 28, 2023

Seven Doors comes to consoles with the inclusion of three new rooms, something that translates into a success and a pleasant surprise. The game can become too short and thanks to these three puzzles things change. The game is guilty of having some simple puzzles that are not challenging, combined with the occasional flash of brilliance in some rooms, but that is marred by some gameplay errors that should no longer be there, especially if we take into account that the game is from 2020 and this is a port to consoles.

One Military Camp is a management game in which we have to manage and control a military camp full of recruits, scientists, doctors and other staff workers. It has a good idea and a good initial approach, but it lacks a lot of design details and final polishing before it can be played in a more optimal way according to other titles of the style. Although it should be mentioned that throughout the year, new functions and improvements will be incorporated.

Tales of Symphonia is a game that once shone with its own light, but right now, time has taken its toll and not really in a good way, especially for those who may not have played it. It is a game that it has an entertaining story, good characters, albeit with clichés, and an extraordinary soundtrack. As a remaster I can't give it a thumbs up, as it's a half job that doesn't really shine, but at the end of the day if you want to play Symphonia, this is really the best version still.

A must-play game for all the fans of the Yakuza franchise and RGG Studio. WIth all the pros an cons of any of the Yakuza series games but with a little twist changing the historical period to the end of the samurai era. The quantity of (good) contents and the narrative are enjoyable even if you haven't played any of the Yakuza/Like A Dragon/Judgment games... but take in account that you will need a lot of time to complete the game (30-40 hours only for the main story).

Unscored - Returnal
Feb 15, 2023

Returnal remains as an immersive experience but frustrating for those who are not used to play with high difficulty. This PC port is as polished and frenetic as the original game and preserves the same pros and cons of the console version. If you possess a high-end PC the experience will become even more spectacular than the console game... but maybe it will be better to wait until a sale is available for a game that it is 2 years old.

Metroid Prime Remastered brings back one of the best games of Nintendo catalogue. Returning to the planet Tallon IV will be as fun and exciting as the first time and it will be very comfortable to play for everyone thanks to all the available control options. An essential game if you haven't already or if you played it at the time and want to enjoy it again with spectacular graphics. An adventure whose duration will easily take us to 15 hours.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG for one player where we have to complete some secondary missions to continues the main history. Still, it has good moments and the combats along with the spell sets will delight fans. Feb 8, 2023

Delirium is an interesting proposal for all the ones that love the golden age of the graphic adventures and also a recommended entry point for the younger ones. Although it is not AAA game, there is a lot of love and care for the details that it is quite enjoyable. On the other side, its short duration and the lack of character voices are the weakest points of the title.

Dead Space Remake takes us back to deep space at the hands of Isaac Clarke, who will have to survive various hostile organisms aboard the USG Ishimura spaceship. Dead Space Remake does not disappoint, surpassing the original with a major facelift, both in its spectacular audiovisual section and in the playable one. It has interesting additions that give dynamism to the adventure making it very fun to play, all without losing that special essence that made our hair stand on end 15 years ago. With a return to the origins of the survival horror genre from before, it will not leave indifferent neither those who already played it in its day, nor those who try it for the first time. An essential title for all fans of horror and science fiction that can easily take us 15 hours, yes, we insist, it is not suitable for the faint of heart!

We take off our hats and bow down to this compilation, which, as Wonder Boy fans, has left a very good impressions, since it is a very complete and highly recommended collection, especially for all those lovers of arcades and adventures, regardless of whether they are veteran players or new generation. Its rewind and save game modes will make the adventure very affordable for any type of player, and completing all the installments can easily take us about 20 hours of play, since this collection includes 21 versions of the 6 most iconic Wonder games Boy.

In Fire Emblem Engage we find a new and outstanding game for Nintendo's hybrid console that will make all lovers of strategy and tactical role-playing hooked from minute one. A whole audiovisual and sound show whose only Achilles heel lies in the simplicity of the details of some of the backgrounds, especially those of the Somniel and those exploration stages between battles, which we have found very flat and simple. It makes up for this pain thanks to its unforgettable combat and map designs, the true cornerstones of the game, which make the title one of the most dynamic and fun map stages in the entire saga. In addition, it has an almost infinite character customization system thanks to its Engage system and link abilities. And let's not forget how delightful it is to be able to see our favorite heroes from the entire saga, such as Marth, Roy or Byleth, participating again and actively in the game, both in combat and in conversation, a clear tribute to a saga that began in 1990. An adventure that could easily take us 35 hours if we don't get too distracted (be careful with the Somniel, hehehe).

Unscored - Forspoken
Jan 23, 2023

Forspoken is a semi-open world RPG that will invite us to explore Athia with Frey, a New Yorker who will have to fix that place in order to return to hers. Making good use of DualSense and with a fun combat system once we have access to the entire set of spells, Forspoken tells us an interesting story with some plot twist and different endings. After finishing the game we can extend our experience if we want to fully explore Athia thanks to new missions. Despite what it promised, the game suffers from having a very fair graphic section for the current generation and a world that is emptier than it should be.

NFS Unbound looks appealingly good with a gameplay it works effectively. It's a street racing arcade where we can move around an open world. But when things are done right, they look good. And this is how this game of the saga stands out. If you like the NFS saga, give it a chance, it's your game. If you like racing games, customize the cars and live an adventure in the purest The Fast&Furious style, too. But if, on the contrary, yours is more of the Gran Turismo style, it's still not your game. Still, I'm sure you'll get nitro out of the title.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is the biggest surprise in videogame world of this end of 2022 and a big candidate to be chosen as the best videogame based on Marvel universe characters. His combat system based on turns and cards is one of most addictive and well developed of this 2022. Also the game has a very interesting story in which the different characters and its relationships generates an enjoyable storytelling. Its biggest flaw is the visual aspect of the game in the exploration sections which seems to be a little bit outdated.
