7.5 / 10.0 - Flowing Lights
May 12, 2021

'Flowing Light' adds puzzles to the traditional top-down shooter. More than 200 puzzle missions in the game offer plenty of fun, although the desire to have all the characteristics of each genre have somewhat weakened both natures.

The gothic horror-style monsters and bosses are not as scary as "Resident Evil 7". However, the next-generation graphics and limited vision is frightening enough. The diverse collectibles in the huge village makes the player want to play the game again after the ending.

7.5 / 10.0 - R-Type Final 2
May 10, 2021

R-Type Final 2 is a work that successfully achieves the series' unique difficult level design with good graphics. However, its story, scenes and FX are too shallow to quench fans' deep thirst.

7 / 10.0 - CryoFall
May 7, 2021

Cryofall is incomplete as a survival simulation game based on space colonization. However, it has successfully embodied daily life in an undeveloped land where people compete without rules against each other for survival.

Instead of jump scares, 'Wraith: The Oblivion - Afterlife' conveys fear through a story. It has a high sense of immersion. However, there are no puzzles in the game and the gameplay to hide yourself and evade from ghosts is not attractive either.

6 / 10.0 - Battle Axe
May 5, 2021

"Battle Axe" is an axe game without an axe. The high-quality pixel graphics and classic-sensory background music stand out, but the lack of volume for the price is disappointing.

"New Pokemon Snap" has a variety of interactions that cannot be felt in other Pokemon games focused on capture and battle. However, if you focus on collecting, the various systems will annoy you.

8.5 / 10.0 - Judgment

Jugdment itself is a brilliant masterpiece, but this remastered version sometimes seems to be complacent. However, it is also worth playing.

9 / 10.0 - It Takes Two
Apr 30, 2021

It Takes Two is an exemplary answer to how to create a two-player game. More than just a "proven funny thing," intense research shows how two gamers can have fun. The only drawback is the lack of difficulty control. It's perfect for gamers, but it's a bit difficult to play with non-gamers. So it's not a game that everyone can play together.

8 / 10.0 - Returnal
Apr 29, 2021

Sony's first solo game in 2021 showed high perfection. Battle action, a combination of story-oriented play methods and shooting genres, which are rare in genres such as log, stands out. However, even though it is a log-like genre, the freshness of repetitive play is low and the difficulty of the game is very high, requiring some barriers to entry.

7.5 / 10.0 - Smelter
Apr 28, 2021

Strategy, Platformer - Smelter faithfully embodies the basic elements required by each genre, and its design that successfully coordinates the two different genres without dissonance stands out. This game is like a reference point for each genre, but it needs something more to show than that.

7 / 10.0 - MLB The Show 21
Apr 27, 2021

This year's best MLB simulation is The Show, but the graphic visuals without growth are disappointing. The clumsy cross between RTTS and DD feels like a signal to open the loot box. At least Stadium Creator soothes the disappointment. The new Pin-Point pitching allowed the player's skill to honestly determine the outcome of the game.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is a title located between remaster and remake. While maintaining the original storytelling, the graphics and combat systems have improved dramatically. In particular, the combat system gives satisfying action fun thanks to the reference of Nier: Automata. However, due to the game’s limitations being a "remaster", there are still divided opinions in the parts that existed back in the original.

6.5 / 10.0 - Say No! More
Apr 16, 2021

"Say No! More" is a work that shows how courageous it is to be able to say "no" with conviction, facing the absurdities of society today, when people are becoming more cautious about expressing their negative intentions. The value it's trying to deliver is clear, but the gameplay is a bit repetitive. Rather than thinking of playing a game, it's better to treat it with the feeling of watching a comedy movie that you can laugh without worrying.

'Kaze and the Wild Masks' is a game that you can enjoy a pleasant trip if you are a big enough fan of platform games. The main synopsis isn't that impressive or great, but it's not that bad to have the feeling of taking a light trip. While enjoying great pixel arts and refreshing music, the process of saving distressed animal friends from ferocious vegetables offers cheerful action and challenging stages.

7.5 / 10.0 - Cozy Grove
Apr 15, 2021

'Cozy Grove' is a cute and relaxing game. It only takes 30 minutes a day to paint warm colors on a white ghost island welcomed by ghost bears and imps. The game time flow is the same as real-time. In the daytime, the warm sunlight shines brightly, and at night, shining stars and lanterns light up the island that turned indigo. It’s time to heal ourselves without any contact on a calm and peaceful island where nothing is forced.
