The developers have implemented the feedback from loyal fans as they were requesting easier to manage UI rather than specific and detailed controls, due to their decay of reflexes. This had also welcomed some new gamers to this game as a great introductory title of tactical simulation genre. The downside was the constant 'dice roll' features in the game, which may scare away the core fans of simulation games.

While it's a boss-rush style game where there aren't much memorable moments to remember by the end of the game, but you will still enjoy each encounter to the fullest. The boss patterns are very simple and watered down in difficulty, but the strategy you come across in the first glimpse are usually accurate and very satisfying when they're effective against each boss. The seamless encounters without separate loading times are a plus in assisting the mood and atmosphere. It's very well rounded boss-rush style game which is a great introductory title for those who never experienced this specific genre of the game. The price value for the gameplay is well and acceptable.

The fact that it's a franchise revival is highly notable, which also provides an overall positive vibe. But as the renowned Sakura Wars franchise title, it didn't deliver all the hype and expectations to the fans who have been waiting patiently. This may be a concern even if we respect the fact that none of the original developers worked on the game and the only sentimental aspect is the music that was used in the reboot.

The Nintendo Switch version of 'Samurai Shodown' has been ported with accuracy with the feels and controls of those from other major platforms to be able to enjoy the gameplay at its fullest. Especially with the fact that the game is more based with high damaging singular strikes rather than button-complex combos is the right fit for a portable console like the Switch. While it's unfortunate that the game wont be at it's most entertaining level to be just playing the single player mode, the Wi-Fi battles will suffice due to the console's intentional design and in regards to being conscious of knowing that the d-pad for the Switch wasn't really designed for fighting games when it comes to for character controls, If you're eager to play traditional style of fighting games, Samurai Shodown fits perfectly as a great purchase candidate.

Death Stranding surely is a fresh shock to the open world game design choice. Some of the obvious but fresh visual concepts blend into the story very well. The actors are also the highlight of the game’s entire vibe and atmosphere. The player will be very attached with the journey experience of the main character, who has to endure and truly be rewarded with the best expected outcome like as if you’re really completing a job. You’ll get the fullest single player experience and never get bored with some of the light multiplayer elements of other players playing the same game but act as a pseudo NPC of your universe. Some of the side missions are basically delivering items from point A to B but the main story is so great that they’re all forgiven. While the trend of open world games somewhat felt over saturated but this was a new portal for better opportunities to come with it’s core design. Once you play this game, it will last in your heart for a long time.

Wonder Boy Returns Remix tries to keep its original game’s feel all while adding features to reconsider the new players delving into the game for the first time. For those returning players who wanted to reminisce the old days may feel a bit incomplete but the simplistic design of this game’s mechanic is proven to be welcome even after 30 years since the original release.

Machi Knights: Blood Bagos kept their objective of the game to be the most simple as it could be. When players fail in their respective combat, the game will show you why you failed. There are scenarios in battle which tests the player’s reflexes and reactions also their ability to memorize complex patterns. You can somewhat enjoy around 10 hours of gameplay. Sadly there are no additional rewards from playing the same levels over and over.

The gameplay elements somehow feels repetitive but the visuals and story keeps the player intact until the end. One biggest flaw is the unstable frame drops and minor glitches that happen along the progression which we hope that it’s something that can be fixed with an optimization patch in the near future. If Sony had put in thought and ambition for this game to be their one of the important promotion titles, they should have considered these technicalities before releasing to the public. The gamers who play these so called ‘major promotion title games’ should have a better experience than the gamers who play these games at a much later date with patches and bug fixes since the original release.

Other than the limits of remastering the visuals of the old classic, there were no disappointments in the gameplay elements at all. With the added convenience on top of the above standard user interface, the gameplay session was much smoother than expected. Unlike the original, the new functionality allows players to pre-set their Gambits as well as forming new License Boards any time you want. Biggest improvement of course is the quick transition between loading times. All in all it’s a positive update well fit for the current generation of consoles.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster is still a competitive title among similar genres. One of the rare games that had voice dubs for almost every dialog in the game. Newly arranged soundtrack is also candy to the ears. The remastered visuals mainly considered for the PS4 is also well presented on the Nintendo Switch, perhaps even slightly better. The main story plot blended with the timeless cinematic is well proven to be one of the highest quality games even to this day in age.
