If you’re an owner of a PS4 console, this is a must have game. The visuals easily push through the limitations of the PS4 and the mysterious yet interactive chain reactions of all characters throughout the story is something you must experience as a gamer. The perfect balance between action and plot is well designed until the very end. There are many adjustable options for everyone to enjoy.

10 / 10.0 - OlliOlli World
Feb 3, 2022

While focusing on the main aspect of their gameplay, it's also determined to keep its mainstream accessibility. The game has a full on 90's platformer vibe, alongside a smooth skateboarding experience. It's their 3rd consecutive title to show off and Roll7 has unearthed the potential of a great level design to make sure the players get the maximum freedom within the game. The best thing about OlliOlli World is the countless interactions and the thrill of enjoyment while riding on a skateboard. They've kept the philosophy that skateboard riding can be one of the most enjoyable things a person could experience, all while providing the freedom to the players to bring out their own creativity while riding. The gameplay itself may not be the most unique or extravagant, but the collection of ideas alone could prove that the player experience is the utmost priority for a video game.

Mighty Switch Force! Collection includes four of its main titles which, if you get some decent practice game time from the first game, you'll be prepared to play the others while understanding the context in no time. The flow of the game is frequent but short per stage, which allows the practice to excitement ratio to be fulfilled quite quickly from each completion. Even with the continuous sequels, they’ve kept the game’s signature style of action and creative stage designs to be consistent. The price to volume ratio tends to be generous, which directly meets the purpose of the so called ‘collections’ package while enough to get the most out of its pricing.

10 / 10.0 - Ib
Aug 12, 2022

One of the greatest horror themed games based on other worldly liminal environments, Ib is certainly a masterpiece fueled by the classic RPG maker tool. With spotless storyline, puzzles and characters, the gameplay is as immersive as the surprisingly natural and well fitted horror elements throughout the entire gameplay. The difficulty is not much of a hurdle at all and as you can play it as laid back as you want without any guides or instructions, which is partially the best thing about it. Once your first playthrough is complete, it will definitely get withdrawals to come back for more.

10 / 10.0 - Her World
Dec 12, 2022

In an alternate world far from reality, the protagonist trio share their stories in order to heal their scarred minds. This fully dubbed visual novel has shown some of the most superb storytelling and shows a trinity of balance where the focus never leans towards any individual. While the atmosphere is firm on seriousness, there are times when subtle punchlines loosen up tense scenarios. Players are able to earn skins through quests and side quests are also evenly worth experiencing as the main one. Truly a masterpiece.

Another great title with immersive classic JRPG roots. Players will be busy with their hearts being engulfed with a tsunami of emotions when the game’s protagonists with all differences in races, culture and relationships eventually come together as one to share an ultimate goal. Players must build cities and defend against waves of invasions which brings enough motivation to show that even heroes still need everyone’s support to grow and be strong. Truly motivating once the players understand that maintaining positive relationships with other adventurers is key to advance forward in their journey. The 2.5D-esque graphics paired with dynamic action camera work is surely eye-candy and the sound design that focuses on epic 1-on-1 duels will be music to every gamers’ ears.

The game feels ‘complete’ to be appointed as one of the best open world environment games. With impressive visuals and audio, the combat system, exploration, responsive controls and swift loading times are all something gamers love and adore. The game can be played as chill and laid back with collective elements, as well as rough and action based with its vast difficulties in combat. The game can be well renowned as one of the main faces of all major PS4 titles.

93 / 100 - Death Stranding
Nov 1, 2019

Death Stranding surely is a fresh shock to the open world game design choice. Some of the obvious but fresh visual concepts blend into the story very well. The actors are also the highlight of the game’s entire vibe and atmosphere. The player will be very attached with the journey experience of the main character, who has to endure and truly be rewarded with the best expected outcome like as if you’re really completing a job. You’ll get the fullest single player experience and never get bored with some of the light multiplayer elements of other players playing the same game but act as a pseudo NPC of your universe. Some of the side missions are basically delivering items from point A to B but the main story is so great that they’re all forgiven. While the trend of open world games somewhat felt over saturated but this was a new portal for better opportunities to come with it’s core design. Once you play this game, it will last in your heart for a long time.

Persona 5 Strikers packs quite a lot of content for a spin-off to the original (Persona 5). Offers some quality actions as its main gameplay ingredient, fans of the original title will truly appreciate this game and greatly recommend it to be added to their library. If action is not your go to genre, adjusting the difficulty will still allow you to enjoy all the contents, packed with detailed stories to uncover, which is very well woven together that you won't feel guilty with your lowered difficulty. This may be intended for all types of gamers to see the ending without much concern for progress. The story and gameplay isn’t the most traditional method of how the original Persona games were played, but it's definitely going to keep you seated for a good session for Persona fans all round.

Among many great metrovania-like titles, Ori and the Will of the Wisps has fulfilled all the expectations what may go beyond the current trends from other similar titles. The most up-to-date style of gameplay, visuals, soundtrack, countless amount of collectibles and exploration routes are all ready to be unveiled. It has all the positive aspects from many metrovania-like titles but nothing that stands out as its own unique mechanics. Despite the lack of something new, its atmosphere and experience is a great new addition to be added to the genre.

High quality, high speed action. Moderate storyline but senstational soundtrack. There were concerns of a scare factor if the title implemented something totally new, but thankfully, it delivered 'what Ys is known for'. The only complaint - if we were to be picky - would be the standard looking graphics.

The decision to reinstate the entire combat system was not a bad choice. It's still questionable whether if the title can withhold the genre of a true RPG - due to its simplicity and lack of dynamic strategy in comparison to those existing ones - loyal fans of Yakuza series will still be able to accept this change without much denial. The best thing about this title is the fullness of both the main and sub storylines with plenty of drama and surprises to entertain the gamers. This was actually a boost in value in comparison to the previous series. Yakuza: Like a Dragon can be a game which can be proudly suggested to your friends and those who never played any of its predecessors.

Super Mario 64 was made 24 years ago. The most recent title within the collection would be the Wii version of the game, Super Mario Wii Galaxy Adventure, which is about 11 years old. If you don’t have the respective consoles to play your favorite 3D environment of the Super Mario titles, this collection bundle is a great addition to your library. Sharper graphics on the most recent consoles is definitely a plus. If Super Mario Odyssey was your first 3D based Super Mario game, it’s a good opportunity for you to try all the classics as well. The pricing may not be the most affordable but the port is near perfect and it serves the ‘collector’s item’ purpose pretty well. Don’t miss out on this limited time bundle as they’re only sold on both digital and on shelves until the 31st of March, 2021.

The previous rendition of RE was a spicy mix of horror reboot. This time, they’ve watered down the spice a tiny bit and engineered some ‘action’ into the mix. The end result was that those who weren’t courageous enough to face the horror genre, was now able to experience the latest iteration of Resident Evil and get a taste of what it has to offer. The puzzle and exploration is much more rewarding and less of a headache this time around. With plenty of bonus contents to dig up including the past history of ‘The Baker Incident Report’, If you’re a fan of Resident Evil, you won’t be disappointed.

90 / 100 - Vivid Knight
Jun 1, 2021

Vivid Knight has implemented the system to focus more on the player’s decisions that would influence the gameplay rather than depending on random chances or luck. The gameplays is not as simple as you’d think but there are plenty of clues and hints that allow you to make careful decisions which eventually will let the player conquer the entire empire. Once your first playthrough is complete, there is a new character who brings in a different strategy from the first and unlocks harder difficulty dungeons for plenty of replay value.

In November 2020, the PlayStation 5 was released with high hopes of the new console gaming era. But until now, many PS5 games were multi-platform releases including the predecessor, PS4. So most of the currently available PS5 games didn’t really feel like ‘the game’. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart proudly yells out to be that special PS5 game. Sensational visuals and in-game production quality are top notch. The gameplay has various enhancements including the usage of the Dualsense controller’s haptic feedback, adaptive trigger features and PS5’s own sound tech, the Tempest 3D audio. There is no doubt for this game to be labeled as ‘the game’ of the new generation.

9 / 10.0 - Hades
Aug 29, 2021

You’re going to equip various weapons and receive endless blessings from other Gods while doing your best to escape hell, guarded by your father, Hades. The difficulty hike is no joke and tutorials that kicks you right into middle of hell (literally) would be the first obstacle for those who’re new to rogue-like action genre, but once you get your grip and get used to its mechanics, you’ll be willing to melt away your time like an unattended ice cream left out in the depth of hell. While many rogue-like games suffer from meaningless retries and lack of reward rebalancing, Hades rewards those who keep trying by providing you with more questions and stories to uncover. There are plenty of hardcore modes for the heart of steel gamers who’d like some neverending challenge as well. Fans of hack & slash must try this game out.
