From the graphics and the main concept of the game, everything about this game was too simplistic. Although their objective was to spread awareness of protecting the environment, I’m curious whether if it delivered the message at all. The game doesn’t feel either as a simulator nor any adventure type of gameplay. Every activity felt repetitive and a mix of low polygon objects were breaking the atmosphere as if I was playing a video game or a budget cut motion picture. They have purposely slowed down all movements to mimic as if you’re underwater but instead of feeling like a scuba diver, it was just slowing down my gaming experience. The ending provided emptiness to reflect upon why I was even playing this game in the first place.

Even if you mix all the aspects that provide fun in games, the end product may not be the most fun at all. Nothing should ever be too much or too amplified from their original purpose. Hunters Arena has all of the above. In the end, it failed to capture what it’s destined to be and has become a cluster of nothing special.

Developers of 'Shing!' praises their title as what could be the future of all arcade style beat'em-ups. As expected, the game requires fast reactions of the players in control of their characters, who will then be rewarded with seamless action and enemy encounters. Even with its old-school spirit, some of the meaningless conversation dialogs and confused enemy AI may feel a little lackluster and could defuse the intensity build up you've created along the way. In the Nintendo Switch version, we could notice some minor glitches during progress and struggles to display optimal frames-per-second visuals which made it difficult to enjoy all the combos and juggles. What's worse was when entering stage 6B, you'll encounter an inevitable error in the Switch version(v1.0.06), which wouldn't allow the players to see the game's ending.

It seems simplistic to think that the movement is restricted only either left or right. This restricted movement seems to be the fault of the entire game design. Since most of the mechanics of the game is time dependent, it forces the pace of the game and ultimately gets hit with boredom due to the long wait. The art style has a place in our sentimental memory but that’s the only aspect that seems to be above average. If you’re the type of gamer who likes any and every pixel art style games, then definitely give this game a go. If the game design were to add a little more edge from what it is now, could have become a much greater work of art.

A long awaited sequel which also received a proper following number from the original. With traces of considerations from recent gaming vibes spotted, the not-so-friendly progression sequences and wasteful oversized maps are more of a distraction for the fans who expected enjoyment. The combat frequency was also low and slow which makes the action feel a bit lackluster. Story was also a endless chain of dialogues to make it even more slower than it could have been. Since the two main key factors for the game only felt like forceful events of consecutive slideshows only to add more playtime, it made us feel a bit unpleasant after the credit roll instead of the usual joy coming from completing what could have been a proper experience of a video game. The overall contents felt like it was being dragged under a blanket full of unnecessities.

With its ambition to be more than just a port for the PC and iOS, lovable characters, music to get your groove on, and the 16bit graphics are all putting in their work to become an enjoyable game as a whole. It’s still a little unfortunate to notice some frame drops and technical issues where the bullets won’t fire, which made it seem worse than its original title. Even with some of the respectful staff working behind the scenes, the end result became more dishonorable than it should have been. We expect some updates to patch up some of the errors to be at least playable once it’s ready to meet the players.

We kind of expected the vast exploration of nature through the perspective of insects, but there were more faults than there should have been. While the color and graphics including the combat system were unique, questionable narratives, repeated actions within a narrow space seems to be more stressful than fun. Perhaps a little more thought process could have polished the motivations, which would allow players to sit through the gameplay more thoroughly.

Monster Harvest focuses on farming and leveling your monsters. While the idea is fresh, there wasn’t much content within the game and the two ideas didn’t really mix that well. Few glitches were found that proved some of the gameplay experience to be ruined, NPCs made me feel even lonelier and the festival feature was not the most comfortable event to enjoy either. Felt like I was playing an unfinished game.

Unless you have the absolute highest-end PC, you won't yet get to experience Cyberpunk 2077 to its fullest potential. What’s more drastic is that the console versions of the game have concerning amounts of glitches, to the point where it's more appropriate to be described as an incomplete product on arrival. Of course, if these technical shenanigans weren’t an eyesore, it would have been on the level of pleasing many types of gamers out there. For now, you should probably stay away from attempting to play the console versions.

The funky settings of the world of Maglam Lord is somewhat weird but appreciated. Sadly, the variety of the content becomes too repetitive due to the lack of variable maps, recycled character motions, a short number of skills to learn and most attacks require the players to mash and grind buttons in quick succession to do more damage than not. There is no value in multiple playthroughs either so overall the game feels like an empty can at most.

Out of Line couldn’t even quite reach the line. The visual texture delivers warm and fuzzy vibes but the simplistic puzzles, slow paced movements and rhythm makes the whole game feel a little clunky, thus causing a bit of traffic throughout the flow. It still makes up for the game’s overall design being clearly delivered which couldn’t be helped but to expect better games to come from the same development team.

The game has many new viewpoints and camera movement compared to any other conventional video games. While it’s cool, it also serves as a health risk to some. While the idea is fresh off the imagination, considerations may be lost due to the fun and excitement of creativity. While some of the dialogues seem a bit ‘last second’, they fail to deliver the sincerity as it was difficult to feel any emotions from the characters. While I understand the intentions of putting life into new ideas and creations, all the energy from the excitement of the development may transition into exhaustion from the players.

Superb visuals, music and narration which creates a fantastic harmony. While the plot is great and creative, the gameplay aspect is far from optimized and lacks the creativity which doesn’t quite reflect the intention of mise en scene. It may have been a better experience if this piece was introduced as a graphic novel or a traditional point and click adventure game.

In this seemingly semi-open world title, the plot is quite short ended and the gameplay was forced on rails. There is almost no consideration in terms of playable character balances and the crafted gear has less to no merit since it doesn’t provide any new elements in skill sets. Additionally, the vast majority of combat is just rinse and repeat. If you’re aware and enjoyed the original book and animation, some of the appearances will be familiar, so treat it like a side-story act and you’ll still be able to chill and enjoy this game to its fullest.

An affordable game with a full character dialog dub is a rare combination, but an RPG that tried its best to bring you as much contents it can, the pricing of just under $20 and especially if you were a fan of their original game, it’s well worth the spend to explore the stories of your favorite characters. The only nitpicks would be where the game’s UI could have taken more advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s key features.

The game is most suitable for children who want to experience their first interactive video game. The simplest of things like tilting the analog stick to move the character or pressing a button to jump will be a the most fascinating thing to excite the children who would be using a gaming controller for the first time. Unfortunately, the game being way too simplistic may deter the value of the title and lacks in much needed localization to show consideration among children around the globe.

The results of this game is a good example of how games don’t always turn out to be greater than you would expect, purely based on planned concepts and making the right decisions with just concentration alone. The design of the game is trying hard to provide content with the concept of cleansing the minds of all the fictional characters within the game by creating a routine that’s supposed to provide fun. But the designers may have missed the point that the actual players who get to play these characters will go through the pain and suffering throughout the gameplay. Even so, the vast majority of the game’s contents do not mix very well, which degrades the quality and experience after a certain amount of play time.

The game’s core design lacked innovation compared to the prequel and the story also suffered from lack of creativity. While the game experience was well-coordinated and wholesome in the last time, everything in this Ragnarok seemed to be a series of soulless modules aligned. If the developers’ aim were to safely deliver experience of the prior success, there would have been other ways to deliver in a better, fresh manner. Sadly, the game was insufficient to be felt as a new representation; rather it felt like a DLC of the previous title instead.

Since its original release back in 2013, there has been a spike of increase of people who got to know more about the JoJo's franchise. The game itself also has been through various updates and tweaks which allowed the publisher to be encouraged for another challenge. But due to its old technology in network environments, it wouldn’t be the most pleasant experience unless you're a diehard fan of the franchise. The art style however is top notch in creating the vibes of the original anime and the actual voice actors behind the works also. For most fans, the developer efforts that were implemented to make it feel close to the original would be enough for them to enjoy this game to the fullest.
