Cities: Skylines II is a very worthy sequel to the popular 2015 city-building that improves upon the original. It could stand to use some quality-of-life updates, perofrmance optimziaiton, and mod support, but don't let that deter you from diving in.

Assassin's Creed Mirage returns the franchise to its roots in an enjoyable, albeit uneven, gameplay experience. While the story and parkour are disappointing, the city of Baghdad is a delight, and the stealth gameplay is satisfying.

9 / 10.0 - Starfield
Aug 31, 2023

Starfield is a game that will have players sinking hundreds of hours into it. There are some Bethesda touches that need to be forgiven, and some interesting end game options, but ultimately, it is a game that brings something to the table for every kind of player.

Super Mario Strikers is the best Mario sports game for Nintendo Switch yet, but it still feels like style over substance.

5.7 / 10.0 - Kao the Kangaroo
Jun 6, 2022

Kao the Kangaroo is a serviceable 3D platformer. Derivative of its peers and totally indebted to them, the game has a hard time standing out, even though it offers solid, if forgettable, adventuring.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong manages to suck almost all the fun out of being a vampire. Billed as an RPG, it functions more like a frustrating puzzle game. Only the most patient players will have the time for it.

Even though its side quests and story are mostly forgettable, there is something incredibly addicting about Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Its gameplay loop of completing quests, filling your stamp book, upgrading the town and your gear, and unlocking the next area sinks its teeth into you. Rising offers up an addictive, charming, and beautiful taste of what’s to come.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a solid experience for those nostalgic for the days of Wii Sports. It's lacking in depth and variety, but you'll still be able to get plenty of enjoyment out of it.

While upgraded graphics and gameplay enhancements may not be enough for everyone, it's still a great game thanks to a vibrant world and cast and its take on the tired and true turn-based battle system. Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers is a worthwhile port for fans of the game and those looking to play for the first time.

The Skywalker Saga aims to be the greatest LEGO Star Wars experience of all time, only to be a middling mess. Fans will still get something out of it, but nothing here warrants all the headache behind the scenes over the last few years. Despite all odds, TT Games’ latest is a chaotic pile of bricks that never quite click together right.

7.1 / 10.0 - MLB The Show 22
Apr 8, 2022

MLB The Show 22 doesn't do much different than last year, and the new highlights are a mixed bag, but it's still a good baseball game. Your mileage will vary about whether or not it's worth your time and money.

7 / 10.0 - Nightmare Reaper
Apr 5, 2022

Nightmare Reaper has all the makings of a fantastic retro-FPS with rogue-lite elements wonderfully smattered across. However, for all its personality, Nightmare Reaper is also an uneven mess when it strikes the wrong note. A game some will love, warts and all, but many others will walk away wanting for a tighter experience.

Horizon Forbidden West is a success in almost every way even if it sometimes does too much in its open world. 7.7 / 10.0 - ELEX II

Elex 2 is another example of Piranha Bytes sticking to their guns and making an open-world RPG designed specifically for their core audience. Fans of the studio's previous work will have a field day with this one but everyone else might find it hard to get past the jankiness and technical issues.
