Nintendo Switch Sports is a solid experience for those nostalgic for the days of Wii Sports. It's lacking in depth and variety, but you'll still be able to get plenty of enjoyment out of it.

While upgraded graphics and gameplay enhancements may not be enough for everyone, it's still a great game thanks to a vibrant world and cast and its take on the tired and true turn-based battle system. Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers is a worthwhile port for fans of the game and those looking to play for the first time.

The Skywalker Saga aims to be the greatest LEGO Star Wars experience of all time, only to be a middling mess. Fans will still get something out of it, but nothing here warrants all the headache behind the scenes over the last few years. Despite all odds, TT Games’ latest is a chaotic pile of bricks that never quite click together right.

7.1 / 10.0 - MLB The Show 22
Apr 8, 2022

MLB The Show 22 doesn't do much different than last year, and the new highlights are a mixed bag, but it's still a good baseball game. Your mileage will vary about whether or not it's worth your time and money.

7 / 10.0 - Nightmare Reaper
Apr 5, 2022

Nightmare Reaper has all the makings of a fantastic retro-FPS with rogue-lite elements wonderfully smattered across. However, for all its personality, Nightmare Reaper is also an uneven mess when it strikes the wrong note. A game some will love, warts and all, but many others will walk away wanting for a tighter experience.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is easily the best game the franchise has seen. It's an absolute delight from start to finish, filled with imaginative platforming and clever puzzles. With Forgotten Land, Nintendo has finally delivered the definitive Kirby experience.

7 / 10.0 - Ikai
Apr 1, 2022

Ikai is a game that, despite its hiccups in the opening acts, nails the landing. The focus on Naoko over random jump scares pays off, resulting in an enjoyable experience that will resonate with you for some time.

Horizon Forbidden West is a success in almost every way even if it sometimes does too much in its open world. Guerrilla Games takes everything great about Horizon Zero Dawn and improves upon it all while offering up an engrossing narrative with memorable characters, exciting battles, and a whole lot of fun.

7.7 / 10.0 - ELEX II
Mar 2, 2022

Elex 2 is another example of Piranha Bytes sticking to their guns and making an open-world RPG designed specifically for their core audience. Fans of the studio's previous work will have a field day with this one but everyone else might find it hard to get past the jankiness and technical issues.

'The King of Fighters XV' is the highest-profile, most accessible 'KOF' yet and deserves to be in any fighting-game fan's library.

9.7 / 10.0 - God of War
Feb 9, 2022

The PC port of God of War takes an already amazing game and makes it look and play better than ever before. Provided you have a rig powerful enough to take advantage of all the new upgrades. But even without all the bells and whistles, God of War remains a modern masterpiece and you owe it to yourself to give it a shot.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a legitimately good game, but it could have been so much more. The franchise has the breath of fresh air it so desperately needs, resulting in enjoyable and addictive gameplay in the wild of the Hisui region. Sadly, the game loves to also hold itself back, with a poor presentation, average visuals, and the same tried and true combat.

Nobody Saves the World is an enjoyable action RPG with an excellent combat and class system. It doesn't always hit its stride, but when it does, there are few games out there that can compare.

10 / 10.0 - Unpacking
Jan 2, 2022

Unpacking may take only a handful of hours to complete, but it stays with you for far longer. A beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable story awaits beyond a simple and calming puzzle-solving experience. Simply put, this is one of the best games of 2021.

Terminator Resistance: Annihilation Line tries for a second encore that overstays its welcome even when it's working right. Poorly executed and uneventful, it sadly doesn't live up to the standard set by Teyon's main campaign.

8.7 / 10.0 - Chorus
Dec 3, 2021

Chorus is a solid title that tries and, for the most part, succeeds at taking the space sim genre in an exciting new direction. The game doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to combat and offers an intriguing story that, while difficult to follow at times, does a great job at immersing you into this dark and sometimes bizarre universe.

'ReVamped' is a flawed port of a flawed game, but 'BloodRayne' is so earnestly grindhouse that I've never been able to truly dislike it.

Forizon Horizon 5 is the near-perfection of the franchise. Everything from past titles has been built up to this moment. A memorable location, unforgettable set pieces, solid and addictive gameplay, a killer soundtrack, and gorgeous visuals. One of the best games of 2021.
