Astro Bot is one of the best platformer games to have come out on the PlayStation platform. It outshines in terms of creativity and with every corner in the game having a secret is just pure joy. A great flow, captivating graphics and the endless homage to the franchise characters makes the game truly legendary.
Neva is undoubtedly the most ravishing game we have played in a few years. The game sets a benchmark for all platformer games and sends a message that a story that can steal your heart and the visuals that you can’t look away from are enough for a perfect platformer game. Neva is our favourite game we have played this year.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a fantastic RPG that makes turn based combat far more engaging through the real time mechanics. But what truly fuels the game is the extremely original writing, characters with depth, and mechanics that allows you to absorb the story the right way, while also giving you space to explore the game as you like.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is a true masterpiece, showcasing uncompromising art direction and stunning cinematics. It takes everything from the first game and elevates it, making the original feel like just a tech demo. With breathtaking visuals and an incredible soundtrack, it stands out as the definitive next-gen experience we’ve been eagerly anticipating for the PlayStation 5.
Split Fiction is another golden feather in Hazelight’s impressive portfolio. Filled to the brim with a wide variety of themes, tones, genres, and gameplay mechanics that are polished to a shine, Split Fiction is a visual marvel and a certified GOTY contender.
This Rosewater review alone should speak volumes of how memorable of a game Grundislav Games has cooked up. It would be an understatement to say that Rosewater is the best point-and-click adventure game I’ve played this decade. The wholesome, choice-driven narrative, its cast of colorful and relatable characters, and clever puzzles make Rosewater a tour de force of the genre.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is RGG at its finest. It is a massive RPG overloaded with things beyond belief, and it somehow manages to execute all of it flawlessly. Its overpriced DLCs and a few minor hiccups can be easily overlooked in the service of its well-written story, refined combat system, larger-than-life character arcs, and an astonishingly detailed map of Hawaii. Overall, it is easily a strong contender for Game of The Year.

Star Wars Outlaw is a dramatic action-adventure game, that takes your adventure to a whole new level with constant action. The graphics are destined to blow you away and the freedom of the open world will keep you hooked to the game for endless hours. It's not so challenging AI is unfortunately noticeable but does not bother the rest of the amazing experiences and the story it holds.
Just Crow Things delivers a whimsical and chaotic gaming experience, perfect for players seeking light-hearted, sandbox-style fun. Its charming art, humorous gameplay, and open-ended puzzle design make it a standout title in the casual adventure genre. Iron Meat's gorgeous visuals, solid gameplay mechanics, smooth controls, and a metal af soundtrack work in tandem to deliver an equally challenging and rewarding Shoot ’em Up that does way more than it needs to in order to stand out. Simply majestic.
Despite the caveats, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a brilliant game with thoroughly enjoyable combat and a compelling story that keeps you going. It improves on many things than the previous game and introduces many new aspects like character customization, new stances, perks, specials, bounty hunters, and much more. While the performance may not be the best and most polished, it still delivers a fair playable experience
Squirrel with a Gun is a game that embraces its absurd premise and offers players a uniquely entertaining experience. It’s a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it encourages players to do the same. Whether you’re in it for the laughs, the chaos, or the sheer novelty of the concept, Squirrel with a Gun is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Rise of Ronin is a mindblowing action-adventure open-world RPG set at the end of the Shogun Era. While the game may have soul-like elements, not the difficulty, allowing more people to enjoy the game. Inspired by many mechanics from Nioh titles, the game boasts to have a compelling story with the freedom of shaping your future under your control. Rise of Ronin also excels with fluid combat and amazing sights but slightly lacks in matching the current generation graphics.
Spider-Man 2 is our prime GOTY contender. The thrilling storyline with mindblowing climax and plots, backed with completely action-packed combat with brand new abilities and fresh features, is more than we could’ve asked for. With a few bugs still needing fixing, this game is a must-play for every PlayStation owner.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth outshines its predecessor in every aspect by providing a vast world to explore, numerous mini-games to master, and an expansive story free of filler content. However, it falls short of replicating the emotional resonance of the original’s pivotal climax. Nevertheless, it excels in developing relationships, delving deeper into character exploration, and introducing new, unforgettable story elements.
Mainframes is an extremely creative, masterpiece in its art-style and soundtrack and a fairly difficult platformer about a floppy disc on a mission of finding its purpose all the while rescuing overworked daemons. This charming platformer set inside your grand-mothers Windows 98 can immediately hook you in with its amazing polish and challenging platforming sections. TLDR: GO GET THE GAME NOW!
Monster Hunter Wilds is Monster Hunter at its best. With its changing terrains and environmental physics, it pushes the envelope of its unique genre in unprecedented ways. Its campaign makes up for a great tutorial, one that showcases all the in-game mechanics and feels great even while playing single-player mode.
