Critic Reviews for Minds Beneath Us
An excellent dystopian thriller, with attention to every aspect and the audiovisual sector as valid as its engaging narrative.

Minds Beneath Us is a very peculiar graphic adventure with few puzzles and lots of dialogue. Its strength is the connection it manages to create between the narrative cue and what it requires of the player. The reward for the patience required is a game with an eerie atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

Minds Beneath Us relies on confusion – a hell of a lot of good confusion – to get the player invested in its dystopian reality. Illusion of meaningful choices aside, it tells a compelling sci-fi tale of corporations gone awry and hits the sweet spot of good sci-fi philosophy that fans may be wanting in 2024. It's gorgeous, too.
Minds Beneath Us requires your attention and patience to really land itself, but if it holds your investment, you may find yourself on the same emotional rollercoaster as I. It's hard to look past its incredibly slow pacing, but its strong character writing, animation and music at least keep it enjoyable during its downtime.
With its meaningful in-game decisions and interesting premise, Minds Beneath Us offers a decent cyberpunk-themed point-and-click experience.
Minds Beneath Us is a truly interesting and cerebral adventure told with heart and, at times, prosaic writing. It is full of intimate character moments that make the people feel alive and fully rounded. It can be a little slow at times and sometimes quick time events come from nowhere but it's so satisfying and the story has some very well executed moments that really let it shine. If narrative adventure sounds like a delightful time then this game is the one, in a word; Recommended.
A gripping fantasy story with some of the most alive characters I've ever seen in a game.

Minds Beneath Us is spectacular when delivering slice-of-life moments, both if they involve the main character and when it comes to ancillary conversations in the background. It’s also good at creating an interesting vision of the future while offering a core narrative that tackles modern themes in engaging ways. Its presentation adds to the immersion level, although the lack of faces will be a little disturbing.
