GameOnly's Reviews
It’s clear that the studio still hasn’t returned to the form it lost somewhere around the release of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Their latest title feels like a work heavily inspired by the cult classic from 2015 but at the same time produced by the same team that screwed up the sequel. The lack of fresh, successful gameplay ideas is very noticeable here.

Lost Soul Aside doesn’t hold up in any other respect. Every additional hour with it was a dose of boredom and frustration, thanks to the dreadful camera work and the clunky controls of the main character, which lack any sense of physics. It’s just incredibly bland. It doesn’t do anything well enough to actually draw players in.

The title is exactly what it was twenty years ago, just prettier. The industry however, hasn’t been frozen in time, so certain elements fall short of today’s standards. Still, it's fun if you remember about few cons.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji is a huge disappointment. The map is practically identical, filled with the same activities we already know, and we run across it guided by a story that uses the very same motives and scenes we encountered in the base game. Is this an expansion aimed at the most die-hard fans of the series? Ubisoft — is that really all you’ve got?

9 Years of Shadow is a very intriguing production with an excellent, old-school audiovisual style. However, it is definitely a title aimed at fans of metroidvanias, who should consider it a must-play. Other players may complain about the high difficulty level, formulaic structure, and repetitive gameplay. Nevertheless, the developers have delivered a technically solid and polished game that is undoubtedly worth attention. Play it if only for the soundtrack alone, which is truly outstanding.

Drag x Drive is a failed experiment from Nintendo. Once again, we get an innovative but significantly flawed project that will ultimately remain just a strange curiosity. The title stands out with its well-designed and immersive controls, but then doesn’t let us truly enjoy them. The focus on multiplayer gameplay, given such repetitive and limited content, was a huge mistake.

Donkey Kong Bananza is a strong, triumphant return of the famous gorilla, proving that he still has plenty of energy and charisma. The destruction mechanics sets this game apart from other platformers, offering a sense of freedom that’s challenging to find elsewhere. The world is beautiful, the characters are charming, and the gameplay is engaging. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth diving into this adventure.

Cronos: The New Dawn surprised me above all with its unique type of narration and the blend of post-apocalyptic Poland with true portrayal of everyday life in the PRL era. I’m convinced not everyone will share my enthusiasm, but for me, Cronos is a game I would gladly pay even 350 PLN for, much more than the developers themselves suggest, and despite the higher price, I would feel fully satisfied with the purchase.

Luto is proof that video games can address difficult topics with delicacy and empathy, but also with a strength never seen before. It’s a horror that doesn’t frighten with monsters, but with the truth about human pain. And although it’s short, it resonates for a very, very long time.

Mafia: The Old Country is like the finest Italian feast. It doesn’t matter that some of the plates the dishes are served on are slightly scratched, as we leave the restaurant full, happy, and a little drunk. I’m truly glad the developers weren’t afraid to return to the roots of the series, highlighting what has always been its greatest strengths. The newest Mafia is a wonderful game that delivers many outstanding experiences and keeps you on edge until the very end. Without a doubt, it’s one of the contenders for Game of the Year.

Herdling is an example of an artistic work that aims to engage the player with more than just gameplay. It’s a very short title that manages to impress with beautiful scenery, excellent music, and the atmosphere and immersion of the Swiss mountain landscapes. However, strong competition may prevent the game from breaking through to contemporary audiences, who are content with their love for competing title — Journey.

The refreshed version of Super Mario Party Jamboree is a truly fantastic party game, especially enjoyable in good company. With over 100 mini-games and a wide range of modes to choose from, it offers countless hours of fun. The title keeps surprising in positive ways at every turn, making it a must-have for every Switch 2 owner.

Echoes of the End is a very ambitious but, unfortunately, very unpolished project. The combat and puzzles are decent, but ultimately not good enough to carry the sheer amount of them we get here. The story isn’t exactly gripping. The best part is the scenery, overflowing with Icelandic atmosphere. As a debut project, it’s a solid effort. If we get some technical improvements, Echoes of the End could be a pleasant mid-tier game for a few hours of enjoyable play.

For the first time in history, both titles have been released outside of PlayStation platforms, which may attract many new players. However, it’s hard to deny that the simple gameplay structure can become tiresome in the long run. The remaster, while introducing the convenience of difficulty levels, still forces players into hours of grinding, which gradually becomes more and more frustrating. I encourage you to give it a try, especially for its brilliant rhythm-based fun and wonderful soundtrack. It’s just a shame that the third game wasn’t included in the package…

It's not an Elden Ring sequel. It's a completely different beast — wild, challenging, and merciless, and that's why you can fall in love in her. Can you handle her temper though? Just try it yourself.
