Demon Slayer –Kimetsu no Yaiba– The Hinokami Chronicles 2 impresses with a narratively dense story mode, well-thought-out gameplay enhancements, and technical finesse. Every new mode, every character update, and every visual detail has been implemented with a palpable sensitivity to the original material, while also bearing its own unique signature. This is an anime fighter that not only makes fans' hearts beat faster, but also rises to the top of its genre thanks to its substance.

"The Roottrees are Dead" proves to be a remarkable remake of a truly ingenious puzzle game. The story is graphically beautiful and lovingly designed, making it immediately captivating, and the jazz-noir soundtrack perfectly emphasises the atmosphere.

Tales of the Shire is not a game that overwhelms with mechanics, tells spectacular twists and turns or keeps players enthralled for hours. And that is precisely its greatest strength. It is a feel-good game through and through for a short holiday in the Shire, where you can simply forget about everyday life. The relaxed atmosphere, the lovingly designed world and the focus on the simple life of the hobbits make for a pleasantly decelerated gaming experience. Anyone who enjoys collecting, gardening, cooking and decorating will quickly feel at home here. However, the game often only scratches the surface in terms of content: the quests are simple, the inventory is too small and the potential in some areas of gameplay unfortunately remains unutilised.

6 / 10.0 - Killing Floor 3
Jul 24, 2025

Killing Floor 3 offers a technically solid and graphically appealing basis for an intense co-op shooter experience. The survival mode for up to six players ensures exciting battles against monstrous zeds and the new weapon system brings tactical depth to the game. However, the current lack of content, especially the small number of bosses and game modes, significantly limits long-term motivation.

Anger Foot is more than just an indie thrill ride. It is a fast-paced, powerful and wonderfully first-person shooter arse-kicker. Anger Foot moulds its simple gameplay into an intense gaming experience with clever design, great pacing and a style all of its own. Whether with style, with rage or with the aim of achieving high scores: Anger Foot kicks ass - and right where the fun is.

The free update for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on the Nintendo Switch 2 impressively demonstrates how much potential there still is in existing games. 8 / 10.0 - FBC: Firebreak

FBC: Firebreak is a successful co-op PvE shooter with fresh ideas, charming chaos and an audiovisual style that clearly stands out from the genre standards. 5 / 10.0 - Zombie Army VR
Jun 16, 2025

Zombie Army VR has the potential to be an exciting co-op shooter in virtual reality and does a lot of things right, especially in solo mode. However, some technical and gameplay weaknesses spoil the overall picture, especially in co-op mode! Arena battles that are too long, unfair ammunition, balancing problems and frequent disconnections with loss of progress are real gameplay killers.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is not a simple sequel, but a bold evolution of the unusual universe of Lost in Random. It shifts perspective, tone, and structure, yet remains surprisingly coherent at its core. Aleksandra is a strong protagonist, the new system of relics, cards, and dice mechanics feels well thought-out, and the four biomes are challenging without being frustrating. Above all, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die just feels right.

Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker may not be a huge chunk of story, but it has a playtime of almost 10 hours. The DLC knows exactly what it wants to be: a lovingly told addition that closes an unresolved chapter, expands the Sea of Stars universe and is convincing in terms of both narrative and gameplay. The new mechanics, the focus on the clockmaker and her time-traveling clockwork lock as well as the multitude of small convenience features make this DLC a must-have for fans of the genre.

9 / 10.0 - RoadCraft
May 19, 2025

To summarise, RoadCraft is an exciting and thematically interesting title with a clear focus on the simulation of reconstruction after natural disasters. The combination of driving and operating over 40 different vehicles and the strategic elements of reconstruction is a refreshing approach. The advanced physics and detailed environments add to the immersion of the game, even if the lack of NPCs makes the world feel a little sterile to me. The cross-play feature is a great advantage and promises hours of fun together with friends on different platforms.
