The free update for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet on the Nintendo Switch 2 impressively demonstrates how much potential there still is in existing games. Even if it is not a native Switch 2 version, the optimised performance with stable 60 FPS, shorter loading times of always under 5 seconds and a finer level of detail ensures a noticeably better gaming experience

8 / 10.0 - FBC: Firebreak
Jun 17, 2025

FBC: Firebreak is a successful co-op PvE shooter with fresh ideas, charming chaos and an audiovisual style that clearly stands out from the genre standards. The title really comes into its own when played as a team. Whether during hectic repairs under enemy pressure, tactically coordinated boss battles or curious shower moments.

5 / 10.0 - Zombie Army VR
Jun 16, 2025

Zombie Army VR has the potential to be an exciting co-op shooter in virtual reality and does a lot of things right, especially in solo mode. However, some technical and gameplay weaknesses spoil the overall picture, especially in co-op mode! Arena battles that are too long, unfair ammunition, balancing problems and frequent disconnections with loss of progress are real gameplay killers.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is not a simple sequel, but a bold evolution of the unusual universe of Lost in Random. It shifts perspective, tone, and structure, yet remains surprisingly coherent at its core. Aleksandra is a strong protagonist, the new system of relics, cards, and dice mechanics feels well thought-out, and the four biomes are challenging without being frustrating. Above all, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die just feels right.

Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker may not be a huge chunk of story, but it has a playtime of almost 10 hours. The DLC knows exactly what it wants to be: a lovingly told addition that closes an unresolved chapter, expands the Sea of Stars universe and is convincing in terms of both narrative and gameplay. The new mechanics, the focus on the clockmaker and her time-traveling clockwork lock as well as the multitude of small convenience features make this DLC a must-have for fans of the genre.

9 / 10.0 - RoadCraft
May 19, 2025

To summarise, RoadCraft is an exciting and thematically interesting title with a clear focus on the simulation of reconstruction after natural disasters. The combination of driving and operating over 40 different vehicles and the strategic elements of reconstruction is a refreshing approach. The advanced physics and detailed environments add to the immersion of the game, even if the lack of NPCs makes the world feel a little sterile to me. The cross-play feature is a great advantage and promises hours of fun together with friends on different platforms.
