Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an entertaining arcade racing game that does a good job of capturing the essence of the original. The sense of speed is spot-on, and the tracks look great. The first few hours are definitely fun. After a while, though, the downside of the simple concept becomes apparent.

Slasher fans will absolutely love the fantastic movie atmosphere, the great soundtrack, and the generous fan service. The switch between Michael and the townspeople also brings a breath of fresh air. On the other hand, sluggish movement, gameplay that quickly becomes monotonous, and annoying animation glitches during the manhunt in solo mode detract from the fun. PC players are also held back by clunky controls. While it’s worth a look for die-hard Michael Myers enthusiasts, the technical shortcomings mean you rarely feel like a powerful boogeyman.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition isn't a completely new version of the masterpiece—and it doesn't need to be. FromSoftware is bringing one of the best action RPGs of recent years—including *Shadow of the Erdtree*—to the Nintendo Switch 2, delivering a port that's technically far more impressive than early impressions suggested.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault isn't a revolution, but it is a very solid evolution of an unusual concept. Digital Sun has understood what made the original special and has expanded on that core with a much more extensive roguelite system, more varied builds, new inventory mechanics, and a significantly more modern presentation.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy isn't meant to be just a sequel, but rather a standalone action-adventure set in the familiar universe. The shift from helpless tension to aggressive sword-fighting is risky, but it fits Sophia as the protagonist in a way that makes sense. Resonance is a fantastic action-adventure that tells an emotional and compelling story.

The Sinking City 2 isn't the sequel I would have expected after the first game. And perhaps that's exactly what makes it so surprising. Frogwares didn't just try to fix the predecessor's flaws and then build the same game all over again. Instead, they completely revamped the entire concept.

Mortal Shell II is the best Soulslike of the year! Mortal Shell II is exactly the kind of sequel you’d hope for from an ambitious Soulslike. Cold Symmetry didn’t just expand the world and add new enemies. Instead, they took the foundation of the first game, analyzed it, and made fundamental improvements in many areas.

Duskfade is a truly well-made and fun game that stands out above all for its nostalgic PS2 vibe and its diverse clockpunk world. The combat system feels a bit limited at first, but it improves noticeably with the unlockable upgrades. With a playtime of 12 to 15 hours, the adventure is just the right length without dragging on. For fans of classic 3D platformers, Duskfade comes highly recommended.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a successful remake that takes seriously the balancing act between respecting the original and making sensible modernizations.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag: Resynced does exactly what fans have been wanting for years. It doesn't fundamentally change the original, but it sensibly improves nearly every single aspect. The Caribbean looks spectacular, Edward Kenway's story hasn't lost any of its appeal, and the updated gameplay mechanics make this classic more enjoyable to play today than ever before.

MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is exactly what the title promises: Monopoly with a well-executed Star Wars license. The atmosphere is compelling, the presentation is appealing, and minor gameplay innovations effectively liven up the familiar concept.

The Gothic 1 remake is exactly what fans were hoping for: a technical overhaul that never loses its gritty character. I had an absolute blast playing this brutal game. It requires patience—you have to save often, proceed with caution, and rely on tactics to get through it—but the reward is a wonderful role-playing experience.

Outbound is great for all “Cozy Game” fans who dream of living an independent life. The mix of base-building on the go and laid-back exploration keeps you engaged, even if there are a few minor issues with pacing and the overall layout.

Screamer isn't your typical arcade racer, and that's precisely its greatest strength. In this game, Milestone deliberately breaks away from genre conventions, instead combining racing with fighting game mechanics, anime-style visuals, and a unique blend of gameplay. The result is fresh, bold, and, above all, uncompromising. Screamer is the best arcade racing game of the year so far.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice impresses with a solid story mode, one of the best rosters, and a fully revamped combat system. Every character feels unique, and the new Rising and tag systems add tremendous depth to the fights. It’s an anime fighter that will make fans’ hearts race, even if technical issues and repetitiveness in the otherwise very successful “Team-Up Mission” mode detract from the overall impression.

REANIMAL is not a horror game you casually play on the side. It is an experience. One that gets under your skin, that suffocates you, and doesn’t let go even after you’ve turned it off. The Swedish studio impressively demonstrates how modern horror can truly work: relying less on cheap jump scares and more on atmosphere, psychological pressure, and a constant feeling of unease.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is not a simple remake. It is a reappraisal of an underestimated chapter. Kiwami 3 finally gives Kiryu’s story the mechanical weight it deserves, while Dark Ties proves that the series has the courage to seriously question its antagonists.
