Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a masterpiece and one of the greatest platformers ever made.

Incredible art direction and a fantastic atmosphere keep Blasphemous 2 interesting, even when the frustrating difficulty spikes do their best to make the game too frustrating to be any fun.

Fires of Rubicon is the most accessible and fun installment in the iconic franchise. A gargantuan and immensely fun piece of robot mayhem that rewards the player at every turn.

Disney Illusion Island is light, charming and visually stunning metroidvania style adventure that feels like it’s missing something. More action, some kind of combat mechanics, or at least a faster pace. Even as it is, it’s an enjoyable experience, and if you can get a friend to join you on the same couch, you can easily add an extra star to the rating. If a sequel ever happens (and hopefully it will), this game provides a solid foundation for the future — but the lack of variety should be addressed by then.

Atlas Fallen isn't remarkable or innovative, and you can clearly tell where its grand ideas run against the limited budget. But it's still fun to play, and sometimes that's enough for a title like this.

Jagged Alliance 3 stays true to its roots, delivering deep tactical combat and quirky mercenaries, but its rigid 90s design philosophy makes it feel outdated. While it successfully captures the spirit of its predecessors, modern strategy games like XCOM 2 highlight its clunky mechanics and lack of accessibility improvements.

Gimmick! Special Edition can be summed up in one letter and two words: a cultural achievement. Despite its difficulty, it remains as a unique and memorable classic. As a remaster, it offers only minimal updates and improvements, but on the other hand, I’m very pleased that the graphics, physics, and especially the music have been left untouched. This long-overlooked platforming rarity has truly earned its place in the modern spotlight.

Despite its flaws, Sonic Origins Plus is a much more polished and content-rich package than the original release, earning it an extra star in the rating. However, if you already own Origins, whether the ability to play as Amy, the tougher missions, and the added Game Gear titles are worth the price largely depends on the player. Personally, I’d say yes. If only Sonic Origins had been this solid from the start!

Final Fantasy XVI is a revival and renewal of the classic franchise so sublime that it reminded me why I fell in love with the series in the first place.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a masterpiece that improves on its predecessor virtually every way. I've missed this kind of joy in freedom and exploring the wonderful world of Hyrule, and I wouldn't trade a single moment of it.

Star Trek: Resurgence delivers an authentic Trek experience with a strong narrative and impactful choices, but its outdated graphics and clunky gameplay mechanics hold it back. While the story and voice acting shine, the technical limitations and unnecessary action sequences make it feel like a relic from gaming’s past.

In the wonderful world of the internet, a game about Gollum has largely been seen as a doomed idea from the start, but I have to disagree. In capable hands, the character could make for a perfectly solid stealth adventure. As a protagonist, this grey trickster is interesting, primarily because of his tragic backstory. Too bad that almost nothing works in this game, and therefore Gollum's Adventure is one of the worst games ever made.

Diablo IV is a difficult game to review because it will be a completely different title a year from now. As it currently stands, it's full of great ideas which are almost uniformly poorly implemented. Give it 12 months, and it'll be something else, and that itself is a double-edged sword.

Street Fighter is one of the oldest and most recognizable fighting series in history, and its latest edition is the best the franchise has ever been. That's an incredible feat few, if any, series can lay claim to, and Street Fighter makes it look easy.

Behind all the technical issues and small misjudgments, there's clearly a great adventure, which, even at its weakest moments, is still fairly enjoyable to play. Unfortunately, bugs and glitches affected quite negatively to my experience with the game, and that is just really frustrating.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a fantastic purchase for both longtime strategy fans and newcomers to tactical turn-based games. More than anything, it prooves that a great concept never gets old. The updates complement the classic GBA games well, though I do understand that some would have preferred to keep the pixel art intact.

Despite its flaws, Local News with Cliff Rockslide is worth experiencing purely for its unique theme and clever writing. While playing, you can also tell that the studio clearly had fun working on the project. It certainly doesn’t come with a steep price tag either, which makes it even easier to push the purchase button.

I really wanted Redfall to be great, but this is an empty and horrifically dull looter-shooter without a soul.

The prequel to one of the great action game titles out there is a smart and sweet adventure that just works. It's superbly pretty, wholesome, and genuinely fun, even if you're not a fan of Bayonetta's previous outings.

Minecraft is an institution at this point, and while Minecraft Legends doesn't innovate as much as it thinks it does, there's still a lot to enjoy in this strategy-lite adventure for the whole family.
