Despite the long development work, the studio should have trimmed the length of the story a bit and invested in polishing. If everything isn't right under the hood, it doesn't matter how great the story, style or game design is. Airhead entertains, but also frustrates at the same time - and that's never a good thing.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is impressive in terms of writing and production values, but gameplay-wise it’s mediocre at best. It's mostly a mind-numbing, repetitive mess that leaves much to be desired and it’s disappointing that Rocksteady’s latest release turned out to be a flop, as it’s clear the studio has a passion for DC’s chaotic crew and its heroes.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a game without a beginning or an end, yet it's the kind of audacious, breathtaking, and superlative artistry that redefines what we expect from the genre. Square Enix has proven itself once again as a master of the RPG.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is still fun and inventive, but there's a sense that this probably didn't need a full Switch release. It has much more in common with mobile games, and the fantastic Mario Run proved we could have an addictive Nintendo experience on that platform as well.

Pacific Drive is a convincing debut release if you are not afraid of high difficulty and numbing resource collection. Personally, I would have appreciated the end result much more as a story-driven adventure, and not as a full-blooded survival game. Too often accidents in the dark hours of the night or encounters with hostile opposition eat away at the joy of playing.

Dune: Spice Wars is a deeply thematic 4X-RTS hybrid that captures the political and strategic intrigue of the Dune universe, offering multiple paths to victory, from warfare to diplomacy and economic dominance. While the game’s depth and variety make for a compelling experience, the lack of a true story-driven campaign slightly limits its long-term appeal.

As a budget God of War, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden deserves praise for its ambitious and often deeply touching story. It's just a shame the gameplay is nowhere as fun as its inspirations. Nonetheless, this is still a worthwhile title to explore, if only to support story-driven adventure games like this.

Another Code: Recollection brings two overlooked mystery adventures together in a visually refreshed and narratively cohesive package. While the puzzles are mostly easy and the pacing slow, the emotional themes and respectful remastering make it a worthwhile experience—especially for younger or more contemplative players.

Infinite Wealth is like Avengers Endgame for the Like a Dragon franchise. It's full of fanservice, it's bloated, and everything is amped up to eleven. Despite this, it just works, and this emotional climax to multiple storylines from the past decade and a half hits every high you could want. I loved it.

The latest Tekken makes a strong comeback to the top ranks of fighting games, especially when compared to its lean and somewhat unfinished predecessor. With stunning visuals and excellent gameplay, the new entry offers plenty of content right from the start, and I’d argue it’s the best in the series since Tekken 5.

Despite a few minor annoyances, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – which took around 30 hours of my time – was a pleasant surprise and one of the best Metroidvanias in a long time. Its excellent level design, impressive boss fights, satisfying gameplay mechanics, and well-thought-out puzzles elevate Sargon’s adventure to the top ranks of its genre.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is an interesting time capsule from the year 2000 — an era when the internet wasn't accessed from anywhere (at least in Finland), when all the computers in the world were NOT crashing thanks to Y2K, when The Matrix was shaking up audiences and when the first Half-Life was still a hot topic among gamers. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the third Turok doesn’t look pale at all as a modernized version compared to today's “boomer shooters.” Instead, it held my attention with a convincing grip. If the genre interests you and you’re not bothered by brutality and excessive bloodshed, this is easy to recommend to both fans and newcomers alike.

Forza Motorsport is fine, just fine, and that's about it. It squeaks by with the same dependable racing experience that, at this point, is starting to feel stale.

Detective Pikachu Returns is a slight but charming mystery game for younger audiences. It won't last you a long time, and the graphics are plain at best, but it's still a light and breezy time that could be much worse. Shame about that price tag, though.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R isn't just a terrific remake of a classic title, it's a revitalization of a franchise that at some point lost its way. With gorgeous graphics, a killer soundtrack, and a charming cast, Star Ocean: The Second Story R is a brilliant return to one of the original PlayStation's great triumphs.

The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection attempts to ride the wave of retro game compilations but falls short in both execution and content. Featuring seven titles from various platforms, the collection suffers from outdated gameplay, clunky controls, and minimal enhancements. While some games offer nostalgic value, most are mediocre experiences by today’s standards. This package lacks extras such as developer documents, gameplay guides, or meaningful customization options. Ultimately, it’s a product best suited for die-hard fans with strong sentimental ties to these games. Others may find their memories better left untouched.

The Avatar movies aren't original, to begin with, but it's still a disappointment to see their potential wasted on such a derivative Far Cry expansion. It's a visual treat to explore Pandora. What a shame the gameplay is duller than a thousand years of cryo-sleep.

WarioWare: Move It! is one of those games that's very difficult to rate. It's fantastically entertaining and by far the best WarioWare since Wii's Smooth Moves, but unfortunately the game has so little content for single players that it's quite hard to recommend for 50-euro price tag. But as you probably guessed, the multiplayer is as great as ever.

The remake of Super Mario RPG brings a beloved classic to modern audiences with style and charm. Originally released in 1996 and long absent from European shelves, the game now shines on the Nintendo Switch with updated visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and a faithful recreation of its quirky humor and engaging turn-based combat. While the difficulty level remains low, making it ideal for RPG newcomers, the game offers enough personality, secrets, and nostalgic flair to entertain seasoned players.

I'd love to say that Cities: Skylines 2 is everything we could have hoped it would be, but right now it's more like a blueprint of an idea rather than a finished product. I'm sure it looks amazing to the architect, but the rest of us will have to deal with the broken mechanics and lackluster performance until the promises of a better tomorrow come to pass.
