While the release of the fifth installment in the Tomb Raider series clearly showed the franchise’s fatigue and stagnation due to its annual releases, the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered collection makes a good effort to improve the frustrating obstacles and injects a strong sense of nostalgia. That is, of course, if you manage to survive Angel of Darkness!

An entertaining experience for fans of the series and deck-builder enthusiasts. While it lacks the strategic depth of some similar titles, it remains engaging and worthwhile. Adding more characters, improving enemy variety, increasing tactical options, and better balancing the upgrade system could have made this game a more memorable experience.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like a fresh breath of life for the Adventure genre—a genre that once had its glory days but has been dormant for a while. Every part of this game is made with great care and attention to detail, proving that when developers put their passion first, any genre in gaming can make a comeback.

It looks like Rebellion Studio played it safe with Sniper Elite: Resistance instead of pushing the series forward. Rather than building on what made Sniper Elite great, they went for a stripped-down version, and the result is a fairly basic, uninspired game. It’s not necessarily bad, but it’s more of a short-lived distraction than something truly memorable.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, the seventh spin-off in the FNaF series, brings significant changes that elevate the game beyond its predecessors. The addition of adventure elements, puzzle-solving mechanics, and stealth systems has been well-executed, resulting in a short but entertaining and memorable experience. However, it’s worth noting that these changes don’t necessarily make it a top-tier game. Still, if you’re a fan of FNaF, adventure games, or horror titles, this game—priced at $20—won’t disappoint you.

Despite all its flaws, The Thing: Remastered is a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s classic film. While it has shortcomings in terms of storytelling and gameplay, if you’re a fan of the movie, it’s still worth experiencing. Nightdive Studio has done a good job delivering a faithful remake, but it hasn’t managed to address the issues of the original version.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins returns with a new approach to retelling a story from China’s Three Kingdoms period. In aspects like an overemphasis on the game’s lackluster protagonist, this approach has failed. Still, in other areas such as technical modernization and providing a smooth experience of intense and large-scale battles, its success is undeniable.

The third expansion of Atomic Heart, while failing to provide answers to all the unanswered questions, successfully delivers an engaging story, improved gameplay, and well-designed levels. The combat in this expansion is highly exciting thanks to the addition of new tools, and exploring the dark depths of the ocean is a delight due to the well-crafted level design. However, its excessively short length and once again leaving the story unfinished can be somewhat disappointing.
