7 / 10.0 - Copa City
Aug 3, 2026

Copa City delivers an engaging football concept and an enjoyable atmosphere, but its execution falls short of realizing much of that potential. While the game initially feels deep and promising, it quickly reveals limited systems, noticeable repetition, and a progression path that is largely linear.

If you’ve never experienced Halo before, this remake is a great place to start. However, as a longtime fan of the series, I don’t feel it lived up to the expectations we have for a Halo game.

Tales of Arise is the best entry in the series and sets a new benchmark for the franchise. With its engaging story, excellent combat, stunning art direction, and rewarding side content, it delivers an outstanding JRPG experience. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is especially recommended, as it includes both the base game and expansion in one package, offering excellent value. Overall, Bandai Namco has created one of the finest JRPGs of recent years and a strong foundation for the series' future.

9.5 / 10.0 - The Alters
Jul 19, 2026

The Alters is the best game 11 bit studios has made, blending survival, resource management, and sci-fi into a truly unique experience. Its greatest strength is an exceptional story about how a single decision can change an entire life. Combined with a remarkable performance from one voice actor portraying every Alter, it leaves a lasting impression. Were it not for a few technical issues and occasional crashes, The Alters would deserve a perfect score.

Echoes of Aincrad is a disappointing entry from Bandai Namco. Despite its promising premise, the story falls flat, while repetitive content and a $70 price tag make it hard to recommend. Only dedicated Sword Art Online fans may enjoy it, as its biggest flaws are rooted in the game's core design.

8.5 / 10.0 - Gothic 1 Remake
Jun 25, 2026

Gothic Remake faithfully preserves what made the original a genre-defining RPG. Its gradual character progression, rewarding role-playing systems, and immersive NPC routines still feel remarkably ahead of their time. Rather than reinventing the formula, the remake strengthens the legacy of a game that remains one of the finest examples of classic RPG design, even by today's standards.

7.5 / 10.0 - Solarpunk
Jun 13, 2026

Solarpunk delivers a fun building and automation experience with interesting ideas, especially airship exploration and progression toward sustainable tech. However, its survival mechanics are very light, making it feel more like a relaxed sandbox than a true survival game. With limited environmental variety and some slow progression, survival fans may find it lacking challenge. Still, it remains enjoyable for players who prefer creativity and exploration over difficulty.

Luay Prince
May 27, 2026

Echo Generation 2 is a visually strong sequel with solid turn-based deck combat and a cool multi-character chapter structure, but it suffers from linear design, slow pacing, and uneven storytelling. Fun systems, but weaker exploration and narrative than the first game.
