Hades II expands the roguelite formula with deeper systems, more builds, and significantly more content than its predecessor, while maintaining the fast and addictive combat that defines the series. It improves variety across enemies, bosses, and gameplay options, making each run feel distinct and engaging. With its strong art direction and constant sense of progression, it delivers a highly replayable experience that reinforces Supergiant Games’ reputation for quality.

Vampire Crawlers offers a simplified and enjoyable roguelike card-based experience. While it doesn’t introduce anything groundbreaking to redefine the genre, it remains a fun and light option, especially for fans of the original game looking for a quick, addictive fix.

Echo Generation 2 is a visually strong sequel with solid turn-based deck combat and a cool multi-character chapter structure, but it suffers from linear design, slow pacing, and uneven storytelling. Fun systems, but weaker exploration and narrative than the first game.

It represented everything the series stood for with numerous improvements that made it truly excellent, but the limited number of maps in the co-op modes should be taken into consideration.

Mixtape succeeds in delivering a memorable narrative experience. Rather than relying on complex gameplay systems, the game builds its identity through music and cinematic direction, creating a journey filled with emotion and nostalgia. Because of that, it will strongly appeal to players who enjoy interactive storytelling and experiences that prioritize atmosphere and narrative over traditional gameplay mechanics.

Industria 2 delivers good ideas, a strong atmosphere, and welcome gameplay additions, but its technical issues and inconsistent level design hold the experience back. Some moments successfully capture the magic of the first game, while others feel noticeably weaker in comparison.

The experience of diving into the golden age and exploring the halls of the House of Wisdom, blended with puzzles and a simple platforming system, is enjoyable.. until you look at the artistic direction in the use of colors, which was overall poor.

Saros is a strong step forward for Housemarque, improving on Returnal with fast, addictive gameplay, balanced difficulty, and better storytelling. It excels technically with great visuals, sound, and smart DualSense use. Minor flaws aside, it stands as a serious Game of the Year contender.

Aphelion offers a gripping sci-fi mystery with two well-written protagonists and realistic astronaut gameplay focused on survival tools. While the experience becomes somewhat repetitive due to a lack of new mechanics later on, the emotional story still makes it a worthwhile experience from DonʼtNod Entertainment.

Dosa Divas starts strong with its creative mix of turn-based combat and cooking mechanics, but the experience loses momentum over time. Repetitive mini-games, limited gameplay variety, and low challenge hurt the overall experience, despite the game’s charming art style and solid story.

Replaced isn’t just visually striking; it delivers a strong, well-rounded experience with standout pixel art, an engaging story, and surprising twists that keep you invested until the end. Its cinematic gameplay and excellent soundtrack further elevate the experience. While minor technical issues exist, they don’t significantly impact the overall impression.

Little Nightmares: Altered Echoes successfully restores the legacy of the series and brings back its hype for me. Those who are already invested in the franchise shouldn’t miss this entry by any means. This experience is truly hard to describe, and you won’t fully understand how well-crafted it is without actually trying it. My only complaints are that the story feels a bit short, the puzzles are somewhat average, and there is an absence of smooth motion camera control, which slightly affects the overall flow of the experience.

It's safe to say that Castlevania has redefined the action sidescroller genre before it became a "metroidvania RPG" and for me personally it's always a breath of fresh air to go back to the roots. This game is a great example of a love-letter for a classic game, that manages to have it’s own ideas and identity.

Crimson Desert changed my view of open-world games, delivering a strong exploration experience with a rich world, massive content, and excellent gameplay systems. However, its weak story and modest voice acting hold it back from reaching all-time great status, though it still remains a hard-to-ignore experience.
