Critic Reviews for BlazBlue Entropy Effect X
Blazblue Entropy Effect X's convolution will be a turn off for some, and for others a dream. There are some questionable design decisions in its lack of a visual combo counter, diminutive sprites, and stop-start upgrade screens, and the average action gamer will feel swamped by its narrative and overload of possible configurations. BlazBlue Entropy Effect X has solid roguelike action gameplay, but is bogged down by stilted pacing and a tenuous at best connection to the BlazBlue series.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X brings the stellar roguelite by way of fighting game to a broader audience. Incorporating a massive roster with deep combat turns it into one of the genre's flashiest and most entertaining spectacles.
An over-the-top power fantasy balanced with appropriate challenge and build variety, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is the best version of 91Act's rogue-lite, even if some areas could use further improvements.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X has been one of the few games that I have had a very hard time putting down strictly due to how much fun I was having playing it.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X stands out as one of the most action-driven roguelikes available. It also handles long-term play fatigue and freshness well: the Legacy Talent system lets players carry builds forward between runs, while the highly customizable Chaos and Extreme difficulty options add challenge to offset repetition in the later stages.
