Dragon’s Dogma II is the natural evolution of a saga that compromised due to technological limits over ten years ago. Now free of those limits, Capcom’s action/RPG presents itself in majestic form. Even if the story sometimes feels like a rehash of the first chapter, its amazing gameplay and vast open world make it a masterpiece.

If there was one thing missing from the 2020 Flight Simulator, it was a more game-like element to attract a broader audience beyond hardcore fans of the genre. This gap is filled in the sequel with a well-structured career mode that, thanks to a variety of activities, further enhances the simulation aspect, which remains the core of the experience. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is a grand achievement that improves on every aspect of its already exceptional predecessor—a more of the same crafted with remarkable intelligence and care by the team at Asobo. While it remains a simulator not suited to every taste, I’m confident it will captivate a new audience, as it did with me.

Despite minor gameplay flaws, MachineGames' new video game delivers a consistently enjoyable experience. It captivates players with its story, characters, atmosphere, and gameplay. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a remarkable tribute to a film saga over 40 years old and, without a doubt, the best thing featuring the world's most famous archaeologist since the original film trilogy.

It's odd to say Forza Motorsport suffers from growing pains in its eighth installment, but its new live service nature results in a flat and sterile career mode. However, once on the track, Turn10's work shines, showcasing the pinnacle of simcade gameplay and graphics.

Starfield is a 100% Bethesda RPG whose only real flaw is being too anchored to past game design elements instead of looking forward. Despite some limitations, it's a vast game offering hundreds of hours of gameplay with well-established mechanics and a captivating narrative that keeps players engaged even beyond the credits.

Black Ops 6 is a steroid-infused Call of Duty with one of the best single-player campaigns the series has offered in recent years, a well-established multiplayer that builds on its predecessors and is refreshed with the introduction of omnimovement, and a Zombies mode that returns to its origins. It does nothing to change the minds of those who’ve never appreciated the series, but it’s also true that for them, a complete revolution would be needed—something this franchise doesn’t really require.

The name might have changed, aligning with the Japanese series title, but Sparking! Zero screams Budokai Tenkaichi 4 so loudly that it brings back nostalgic memories. Despite awkward menus and a somewhat incomplete and oddly structured campaign, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft's work is a worthy successor to the beloved series that my peers and I enjoyed playing 17 years ago and has been absent from the gaming scene for far too long.

Unfortunately, a somewhat predictable and rushed story prevents Star Wars Outlaws from standing out among other works in this universe. Massive's game is an open-world Uncharted that doesn't innovate but is extremely pleasant to play thanks to its solid and fun gameplay, impressive content richness, and notable graphics. It's not without flaws, but it's undoubtedly one of Ubisoft's best open worlds in recent years.

As a debut game from a studio previously focused on animated shorts and commercials, Kena: Bridge of Spirits surprised me with its well-rounded video game experience. Every component is well-integrated, creating a solid, fun, engaging, and even emotional experience, despite not innovating the 3D adventure landscape.
