90 / 100 - Keeper
Oct 17, 2025

Keeper is a small yet grand work of video game poetry. Double Fine once again manages to surprise with an intensely emotional artistic vision that speaks through light, gestures, and silence. It’s a journey that leaves a deep mark, capable of making you reflect without ever raising its voice. Despite its short length (though fitting for the kind of experience) and a somewhat underwhelming soundtrack, Keeper stands as one of the most delicate and deeply human experiences to appear on Xbox in recent years — one that absolutely shouldn’t be missed.

85 / 100 - Borderlands 4
Oct 16, 2025

Borderlands 4 is the long-awaited comeback fans were hoping for: ambitious, freer, more dynamic. While it doesn’t completely reinvent the series formula, it does refine it, perfectly blending humor, chaos, and freedom of action. The addition of a true open world, new Vault Hunters, an almost endless variety of weapons, and a well-structured endgame breathe fresh life into Gearbox’s beloved franchise. Not every innovation hits the mark — technical optimization still needs work, and some exploration limitations slightly reduce the open world’s impact. Nevertheless, Borderlands 4 remains a fun, content-rich shooter full of personality, capable of keeping players engaged for dozens of hours while cracking smiles between bursts of gunfire and outrageous jokes.

Rise of Industry 2 is an ambitious management sim that makes great use of the 1980s setting, featuring a solid economic structure and a campaign packed with diverse scenarios. However, its natural complexity is often made worse by some unintuitive design choices and a cumbersome interface, especially on consoles. The result is a game that rewards patience but risks discouraging players before they can fully appreciate its depth.

80 / 100 - Yooka-Replaylee
Oct 8, 2025

Yooka-Replaylee stands as the definitive version of what was only a promising start back in 2017. This remake-remastered finally delivers to fans the Yooka-Laylee they deserved, filling the original’s gaps with a series of additions that make the experience richer and up-to-date, without neglecting a colorful and joyful visual style and an exceptional orchestral soundtrack. Yooka-Replaylee is therefore a game suited both for those who didn’t play the original eight years ago and for those who didn’t fully appreciate it because it was too anchored to the '90s style gameplay; now, I am sure, they will completely change their mind.

75 / 100 - Formula Legends
Oct 2, 2025

Formula Legends manages to capture the nostalgia of 90s arcades, with fictional licenses that entertain and recognizable tributes to the history of Formula 1. The driving, despite some uncertainties in the physics, offers a light and engaging experience, perfect for those looking for immediate fun rather than realistic simulation. The story mode is the heart of the game, but the lack of secondary content and especially the complete absence of multiplayer diminish its longevity.

Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition proves to be a surprisingly solid adaptation of the VR version. While still retaining some traits of its original DNA, Survios has managed to deliver an atmospheric, adrenaline-filled FPS that respects the spirit of the saga. Despite some inevitable limits due to the transition from VR to traditional consoles, the action sequences, the carefully crafted atmosphere, and the strong technical performance make this edition a must-play for fans of the franchise.

Frostpunk 2 is an ambitious sequel that expands the scope of the original with deeper political systems, layered management mechanics, and a striking presentation powered by Unreal Engine 5. It’s a compelling mix of survival, city building, and social simulation that can easily absorb players for dozens of hours. Unfortunately, the console version suffers from major interface and control issues. Menu navigation is often clunky or unresponsive, turning simple actions into frustrating tasks. These problems heavily affect the overall experience and weigh down the final score. With proper patches, Frostpunk 2 could truly shine on console. For now, its brilliance is dimmed by technical shortcomings.

Mafia: The Old Country marks a welcome return for the series, trading the excesses of modern open worlds for a tight, story-driven experience. Historical authenticity, strong characters, and a beautifully recreated Sicilian setting make it both engaging and cinematic. Unfortunately, a barebones, uninnovative gameplay, underwhelming knife duels, and simplistic AI hold it back. While Enzo Favara’s journey remains a significant chapter, it’s not quite enough to restore the series to its former glory.

85 / 100 - Ready or Not
Aug 7, 2025

Ready or Not is a bold and satisfying return to tactical shooters. With deep, realistic gameplay and solid level design, it delivers a tense and rewarding experience — especially in singleplayer. While the technical side shows its indie roots and the story is nearly absent, the core gameplay is strong enough to make it a standout in the genre.

The Alters is a bold and thought-provoking experience, blending sci-fi survival with deep psychological themes. Managing your clones while racing against time creates real tension, and the game’s artistic direction is both striking and atmospheric. Despite some repetitive structure, The Alters stands out for its narrative depth and meaningful choices. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly leaves a mark.

Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy is a faithful and visually impressive remake that revives a forgotten gem from Benoît Sokal’s early work. While its rigid point-and-click mechanics may feel outdated, the game still offers a short yet atmospheric journey through a fascinating, decaying world. A solid choice for fans of classic adventure games and those curious about Sokal’s creative origins.

Deliver At All Costs stands out for its charming 1950s style and absurd humor, turning a simple delivery job into a wild and unexpected adventure. The story is fun and surprising, but the repetitive structure and underwhelming open world hold it back from reaching its full potential.

80 / 100 - The Precinct
May 13, 2025

The Precinct is a charming throwback to '80s cop dramas, blending arcade-style action with light police sim mechanics. While its unique premise and retro atmosphere shine early on, repetitive structure and a weak narrative hold it back. Still, for those looking for a fresh spin on the open-world formula, it's worth a patrol — flaws and all.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered stands out as a project crafted with both intelligence and heart. It offers much more than a simple visual upgrade, thanks to significant improvements to gameplay and quality of life, even if it stops short of fully reinventing a formula that, after almost twenty years, still shows its age.
