I loved the Unleashed games, and hope Milestone returns to the formula because the world is better when we have a regular cadence of Hot Wheels games on the market.
Tense horror games are oftentimes miss, but Konami is back and so is SIlent Hill, and I couldn’t be happier.
It was a fun trip down memory lane, but this release won’t be resurrecting the franchise.
Well Dweller is a must-play for fans of Metroidvania games. If you are like me and tired of digging through all the crap out there to find a great adventure, you can stop here.
The addition of Peace Walker and Ghost Babel are great, and the encyclopedia rounds out the package. I know what I want for Volume 3 but cannot fathom getting the rights to Twin Snakes would be easy. I am guessing we see something like MGSV and Rising with perhaps bonus titles including the Ac!d series. For now Metal Gear fans are eating good, and I am here for it.
Aggelos 2 is a great sequel to a solid game. It suffers from backtracking and not quite upgrading the experience in the presentation department, but the updates and enemy variety kept me coming back.
Wolverine is another great game from Insomniac. I was kind of shocked how linear and brief it was though.
Duskfade is a throwback for sure, and it knows exactly what it wants to be. It hit all the notes for me, and I really enjoyed my time with it.
Visually the game looks outstanding. It is chock full of color and the standard biomes you would find in most platformers. The cartoon aesthetic reminds me of classic Saturday morning cartoons and the animations are fantastic.
Madden NFL 27 is by far the best upgrade we have had in years. The new presentation and franchise upgrades are fantastic. I love all the attention to detail, and the on-field game play is fantastic. I think a few patches will fix some of my issues, which means yet another year of hundreds of hours are in my future. If you have skipped any entry, now is the time to hop back in.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an incredible game from a clearly talented studio. While I did not get into the previous two games in the series, I always recognized their quality. This one though, really connected with me, and I loved it from start to finish.
Splatoon Raiders is my favorite game in the franchise and a wonderful trek into a new genre.
Truxton Extreme is about as good as a return for this series could be.
Denshattack feels like a lost gem from a forgotten, and underappreciated era. It is the type of game I needed right now.
This new version is by far the best in the series, and of course Nintendo knew with Fox appearing in the new Super Mario movie, people would be interested in its return.
In the end Campaign Evolved is a solid remake of the original game. It brings the classic to a new audience without compromising what made the original great.
Parking Garage Rally Circuit is proof that classic game styles never have to die.
Forcing fans to re-purchase characters again is just icing on the top. Sadly, I cannot recommend this package, if you already own DoA 6, just stick with that, there is little reason to upgrade to the Last Round version.
If you are like me and craving that Zelda-style adventure, this is definitely worth a look.
