Critic Reviews for METAL SUITS: Counter-attack
With so much vying for your attention these days, this is one not to miss. If you enjoy stuff like Contra, Broforce, or any game of that ilk, definitely keep this on your radar. It is more than worth your time.
METAL SUITS: Counter-attack provides a fun fast-paced platforming experience that tests your reflexes. Running through levels with various suits and finding all the collectibles is enjoyable. It doesn't improve or change much of the platforming experience and will mostly appeal to people who want more platforming.
With explosive combat, rewarding exploration, and old-school lighthearted vibes, there's a lot to love about METAL SUITS: Counter-attack. 🤖
METAL SUITS: Counterattack is a fun game for those looking for some casual entertainment. The armor system stands out, the dynamics of the levels are engaging in the first few hours, and the visuals are charming. The problem is that the pace doesn't keep up, with levels that drag on without bringing much new information. It's worth checking out on a good sale, especially for those who intend to play in short doses.

Metal Suits: Counter Attack is a side-scrolling platformer shooter where players take control of a battle-hardened hero seeking revenge against the alien invaders who destroyed his life. The game makes smart use of various suits, each adding a unique flavor to combat, while maintaining a focused, action-driven experience. At first glance, its gameplay might seem simple, but the stage design tells a different story. Levels are crafted with care and complexity, offering a satisfying challenge without feeling unfair or overly punishing. Like many games in this genre, there are moments when traps and stage gimmicks can feel a bit brutal or even absurd—but Metal Suits strikes a fine balance, never becoming frustrating or overwhelming. It’s accessible without being too easy, and that’s no small feat. One minor gripe is that the suits, while offering different weapons, don’t come with unique movement or special actions, which could have added an extra layer of strategic variety. Still, Metal Suits delivers a fun, well-executed platforming experience that fans of the genre will surely enjoy.
