I’d been hoping for a solid comeback for this series, but Sudden Strike 5 goes above and beyond. It perfectly captures why classic PC strategy games were once so beloved, and modernises just enough without losing its identity. This isn’t a game for everyone, and it doesn’t need to be. For players who love tactical battles, tension and a victory you really have to earn, this is a must-play. Sudden Strike 5 is old-school in exactly the right ways.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is an impressive, layered city builder that beautifully translates the grandeur of the Roman Empire into a strategic sandbox. The game shines in its world structure, atmosphere and mechanical depth. But the rough edges are just as clear: a slow start and a sometimes overcrowded interface. Do you fancy a game where quiet growth, prestige and freedom of choice are central? Then it can be on your wishlist.

7 / 10 - Godbreakers
Oct 23, 2025

Godbreakers is a game that is technically impressive, stylish, and at times downright addictive. But that divine power isn’t without its flaws. While the combat initially captivated me, it starts to feel repetitive after a few hours; while the co-op shines, the solo experience falls a bit flat; and while the concept is intriguing, the narrative remains in the background. GODBREAKERS offers a solid dose of fun, especially in co-op, and shows how kinetic action should be brought to a console.

Achilles: Survivor is a cracking roguelite. The mix of frantic action, clever building mechanics and mythical atmosphere makes it one of the most compelling bullet hell games I’ve played in the past year. Yes, the bosses are a bit drawn-out and the onboarding could be better, but the core gameplay is so strong. At €6.99, it’s actually a no-brainer to just pick it up.

Killing Floor 3 is a bloody rollercoaster ride that you’ll want to experience again and again. As long as you can overlook the technical flaws. The gameplay is strong, the progression system is deep, and the co-op is unrivalled. Yet the game feels unfinished in some areas, particularly in terms of performance and audio. Fortunately, the monetisation model is fair and optional, though the cosmetics could be a bit more appealing for their price.

Dune: Awakening is a successful mash-up of MMO, survival and the Dune IP. The thrill of sandworm encounters, the intense pressure of survival and the faction systems all combine to create a great experience. But the combat, particularly in melee, feels incomplete. The grind is serious, especially for solo players. For Dune fans and survival enthusiasts, there is plenty to enjoy, but don’t expect a beautiful oasis; think more of a desert full of promise.
