7 / 10.0 - Evolve
Feb 14, 2015

Evolve is a game that perpetuates and demonstrates the fun of online cooperative gameplay. Whether it's the A.I. combatants or online friends there's excitement to be found. Since the game relies on its multiplayer as its bread and butter, it's going to have to do a lot more in the long run should it hope to sustain any longevity.

What the game lacks in telling an interesting story it makes up for in challenging gameplay, combined with creative levels and character specific attributes.

7 / 10.0 - Wasteland 2
Sep 22, 2014

Wasteland 2 certainly knows its audience and I slightly get the feeling it's relying on this for its awareness. As an actual game however, it doesn't feel fresh or new and only seems to stand out due to its theme of being set in the post-apocalypse.

Characters may fall flat and lack a sense of personality but this isn't enough to turn people away. Beautiful settings, an engaging atmosphere, and the focus on delivering a great experience is where Deadfall Adventures is at its strongest.

Despite a few minor set-backs within its graphical options and overall appearance, Might and Magic Legacy X is an enjoyable game that fans of the Old School owe it themselves to play.

Playing locally with friends is where this game holds most of its potential. Playing solo is fine but much of the appeal that resides within the game demands the companionship of someone beside you.

6 / 10.0 - NBA Live 15
Dec 3, 2014

NBA Live 15 does a lot of things well but simultaneously it does a lot of things wrong. Gameplay can be enjoyable but it's really down to the player as the game doesn't do well to explain itself.

While there's enough content to keep players satisfied, the indistinguishability residing within it's control scheme and gameplay mechanics, make the experience feel all too similar to other games within the same genre.

5 / 10.0 - The Escapists
Feb 15, 2015

The Escapists is a game for a very niche audience, as it doesn't provide much in the way of variety to deliver enough entertainment for long periods of time.

5 / 10.0 - WWE 2K15
Nov 26, 2014

Being nothing more than a game built around fan-service WWE 2K15 is going win any awards in terms of visuals or gameplay mechanics, But this isn't to say the game doesn't have some enjoyable moments, it's just sadly let down by a slow and underdeveloped control scheme that's proves to be more hassle than it's actually worth.

A failed opportunity to make use of reasonably more powerful hardware leaves ZOMBI in an unfortunate position whereby the original game is actually more appealing.

The Legend of Korra by all means should have been a much more enjoyable games given the studio behind the title. But the large amount of repetition and lack of level design conflicts with player enjoyability.

While it's easy to understand the enjoyability on a mobile platform due to its touchscreen control mechanics, Deus Ex: The Fall contributes a great deal to the non-official category of bad ports.

MXGP2 has a distinctive crowd and does well to serve it. However, the game does nothing to bring about anything of encouragement for an audience that's now outgrown it's rebellious phase.

3 / 10.0 - MilitAnt
Jul 18, 2016

MilitAnt is one of those games where you feel no guilt or uncertainty for which game has to go once your hard drive is full. This game had over twenty years of influences, innovation as well as mistakes which it could've learned from. For fans of Contra, Metal Slug, Mega Man or Super Time Force --this isn't for you. It's a nostalgic assault on the games which inspired it.
