If you’re a Kunio-kun or Double Dragon fan, or both, then this is the bundle you’ve been waiting so long for. This is the game that I personally would take with me if I were going to be stranded on a deserted island. Everything about this bundle is perfect. So dust off those knuckles and prepare your Dragon Feet, because Kunio-kun is now officially stateside!

Puyo Puyo 2 fans rejoice. The game you’ve been waiting 25 years for is finally (officially) here. Even though the full package is not 100% localized for the English language, it’s still easy to jump into and enjoy. The rewind feature is a welcome addition and will help newcomers get acclimated with the flow of the game. Just be sure to get tons of practice before going head-to-head in an online match. Trust us.

3 / 5.0 - Code Shifter
Feb 8, 2020

Code Shifter is an overall decent platformer, but I was expecting much more. Maybe it was the constant shifting between characters that made it too cumbersome, or maybe it was Stella’s awkward controls while walking around the office. There is a reason to go back to Code Shifter after the story is finished, but this is only to go through the same levels with a higher difficulty, which I didn’t find too exciting. If you’re a big fan of Arc System Works you’ll find a lot to love in Code Shifter. If you’re not familiar with the characters, you’re better off finding a different action platformer to dive into.

With the visual, sound, and bug issues aside, I love having Skyrim on my Switch. To be able to lose myself in that world at the drop of a hat is something that I’ll never get used to.

If you're a fan of Kunio you've probably already made up your mind on getting River City: Knights of Justice. I can honestly say that any fan of the series will be more than happy with what Arc System Works and Natsume has created. They took a huge risk by changing River City's setting and placing it in a medieval time period, but it totally paid off and it works beautifully! I can't wait to see what they do next!

If you do decide to pick up Disgaea 5 Complete, be prepared to sink a major amount of time into it, as it takes dozens of hours to even scratch this densely-packed SRPG’s surface.

Does FlatOut 4: Total Insanity restore the series to it’s former glory? Well, kinda-sorta. What is here is really fun and entertaining, but there isn’t enough of it.

3 / 5.0 - Outlast II

The game is gorgeous and sounds amazing, but there is no meat on the bone. 10 hours of running and hiding is not fun at all.

1.5 / 5.0 - DYING: Reborn (VR)

If you’re going into Dying: Reborn VR fresh and without knowing there is a separate, full game available on the PlayStation Store, you’ll be oblivious to the fact that this game is not finished.

3.5 / 5.0 - 1-2-Switch

I think Nintendo missed out on a perfect pack-in game opportunity and a great way to introduce gamers to what is new about the Joy-Con and the system as a whole.

3.5 / 5.0 - Flywrench

Sometimes I felt when I died it was completely my fault and other times I’d blame the odd bounces and ship’s movements. Something just felt off, but only sometimes. The game’s bugs would also stop my flow and cause unneeded frustration. Overall, it’s a fun title but only in short bursts.

The lack of individual user scores is a big disappointment, but there is still a whole lot of fun to be had at this carnival.

Despite the uninspired and often downright invasive story segments, the core gameplay was consistently fun and engaging throughout the 7 hours it took me to complete both campaigns.

Claire: Extended Cut is a hard game to recommend unless you’re willing to open literally hundreds of doors to get to the meat of the story. The reason that it’s a hard recommendation is because the story here is good, but everything surrounding it just doesn’t seem polished enough. With an inventory system that doesn’t work well with the game’s layout and a map that constantly needs to be check to understand where you’re going, Claire: Extended Cut is a haunted house that some horror fans likely won’t mind walking through, but many others would be better off skipping.

If you’re a fan of the Psycho-Pass anime, you’ll get an enormous amount of enjoyment out of the expertly crafted story presented in Mandatory Happiness. If you’re like me and anime isn’t something you go out of your way to view, that may change after watching the first few episodes of Psycho-Pass and playing Mandatory Happiness.
