Torment: Tides of Numenera is an excellent spiritual successor to one of the most influential RPGs ever released. inXile Entertainment has created a game that dares to be different, letting players approach the task at hand in a staggering amount of different ways. It may be a bit short when compared to similar titles, but what it lacks in length, it more than makes up for in replayability.
DUSK achieves something that seemed out of reach until now, as it surpasses its inspirations in every way, not only standing shoulder to shoulder with the giants of the genre, but even going beyond that, and creating an adventure that must be experienced by any FPS fan worth their salt.
Shadow Warrior 2 is an excellent follow up to Flying Wild Hog's 2013 reboot. Lo Wang's latest adventure is bigger, meaner and bolder, letting players embark on the ultimate power trip as they shoot, loot and slice their way through demonic armies.
Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters released this year. Respawn Entertainment mixed an unforgettable singleplayer campaign with an excellent multiplayer suite, creating the ultimate action package, something that every gamer worth their salt should at least try.
Messhof has crafted a sequel that manages to surpass their 2014 masterpiece. Offering more weapons and gameplay options, a fully featured singleplayer campaign, a new art style and an incredible soundtrack, Nidhogg 2 proves that sometimes, more is better.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition is as fresh and exciting today as it was ten years ago. This is one of the best beat ’em ups I’ve had the pleasure of playing during the past decade, and I sincerely hope that it will finally be able to stay on sale for a long time, because its original removal from online shops prevented millions of players from experiencing an adventure that deserves to be played and replayed countless times.
