When a group gets together it is always nice to have choices that are accessible to all players. Carnage Tower is one of those games. You likely won’t see me spending dozens of hours trying to tackle the 100 floor gauntlet, nor will it be at the top of my favorite games of 2019. What it will be, however, is a game that may get attention when novice gamers and I want to get our hands on something simple and fun.
For all the time I spent enjoying the Dwarves, there was equal amounts of frustration, boredom and disappointment.
There is plenty of fun to be had, but in the end Halo Wars 2 feels like just another decent game from a popular franchise.
Gamers who have a genuine interest in police shows, movies and/or books will find a lot to love about this simulator. Those looking for more of a quick fix thriller might want to keep investigating.
Nevermind is a game unlike any I have ever played before and one that is worth experiencing. I would have preferred it to be much scarier than it is, perhaps turning to cult classic Eternal Darkness for inspiration. Once you complete the five missions there isn’t much incentive to collect all the memories, aside from achievements/trophies. The game is also a bit pricey at $19.99 USD, which may turn some off. Even though I didn’t get scared, I never knew what to expect when probing the mind of the next patient. If you are up for trying something new and have some extra cash, Nevermind will definitely get you thinking.
Candleman is a game that is unique and a joy to play. Every chapter provided a different gameplay element which kept things fresh.
I give 2Dark a lot of credit for creating a challenging stealth game with a unique look and compelling story. I always looked forward to playing in a new environment and the creative ways to take down the bad guys.
While ultimately the switching mechanic is just a clever disguise for double jumps, I enjoyed Switch or Die Trying.
As it stands, SkyKeepers is a good action platform game that has laid a solid foundation for (hopefully) future installments.
I would only suggest The Forgotten Land DLC to those gamers who loved Zheros. It provides a fair value in terms of the new levels, a new character and some extra Gamerscore. If you have kids that are still playing it or just getting into Zheros(or yourself), then this DLC is a no brainer at $4.99. I've certainly seen more expensive DLC offer less content in other games.
42 does an amazing job of creating a big world that doesn't feel overwhelming, it just needs a little more polish with the gunplay.
Overall for a budget price you are getting a family friendly game that adults and kids could find themselves addicted to.
Despite some flaws and a couple of dud games, Marooners is the type of island getaway where I enjoyed my stay and can see myself coming back.
If you are looking for a laid-back game about robotic heroes and space exploration, then Jettomero: Hero of the Universe is for you.
Whether you will want We Sing Pop is almost entirely based on the tracklist.
What you have here is a quality survival experience, but those looking for tactical espionage operations might want to keep looking.
DragoDino is a mostly solid platforming experience that was most enjoyable in short bursts, ala one level a night.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is not a perfect game, but instead provides gigantic steps in the right direction for potential sequels.

With NBA Jam On-Fire Edition being horribly outdated and the original Playgrounds recently delisted, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is the go-to-choice for arcade NBA basketball by default.
