After the excellent Monark, it would seem that FuRyu is struggling a lot to hit the target.

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is a partially successful experiment, as Aquaplus' inexperience in the JRPG and the tight budget have influenced almost all aspects of the product, starting with the obsolete graphics sector and a combat system not entirely in focus.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust it's a strange and half-successful experiment. Stripped of crafting and all the secondary activities that characterized the vast world of Athia, the DLC focuses on the narrative, revealing a seemingly essential backstory to be able to continue exploring Frey's adventure.

While we understand and appreciate Bandai Namco's decision to bring Tales of Symphonia to as many platforms as possible, in order to allow new generations to (re)discover one of the most important chapters of the franchise, we firmly believe that such a lazy remastering is not the most effective (nor the most respectful) method to revive a great classic of the past and celebrate its twentieth anniversary.

Digimon Survive is an experiment that is only half successful, as at the time of dosing the narrative component and the role-playing and strategic one of the hybrid, the developers have allocated insufficient space to the second.

Biomutant is a bizarre mixture of playful and narrative genres in which fantasy, post-apocalyptic, magic, advanced technology and not least anthropomorphic animals find space. If we add to these elements the many mechanics that the guys of Experiment 101 wanted to implement at all costs, such as the Aura, the total customization of the character or the incredible number of weapons that can be made through the crafting system, it is not at all surprising that the action RPG has not been able to manage too much meat on fire.

Despite some imperfections, Touhou Genso Wanderer is a good rouguelike JRPG, with a funny gameplay and a high level of difficulty

A.W. Phoenix Festival is a game that relies entirely on its dating sim part. Since the fighting is a secondary aspect of the gameplay, we do not recommend the purchase of the product to anyone who is not a fan of the anime series, which is the only target which this videogame is clearly addressed to.

Expanding the roster of playable characters and the number of fighters that can be dragged to the front line, the guys of WANIN International have equipped Dusk Diver 2 with a pleasant strategic component completely absent in the first episode.

Packaged by a team French, Edge of Eternity is a title that almost perfectly respects the dictates of the JRPG genre. If the rich, dramatic and engaging plot, and the ingenious turn-based combat system with a strong tactical component could abundantly satisfy the palates of fans of the genre, the technical backwardness attributable both to the scarce budget available to the transalpine studio and to the years of delay that this has accumulated during development, however, risk obscuring how much good there is in Edge of Eternity.

When compared to the original, Blue Reflection: Second Light undoubtedly represents a big step forward for the guys at Gust, who once again have synthesized a compelling and frenetic playful formula. However, the progress made on the gameplay front and the unexpected introduction of a more traditional growth system are again counterbalanced by an uninspiring story, soporific and repetitive secondary activities, and a technical system dated even by the standards of the last generation of consoles.

The first work of a small independent studio, Eternights is exactly what we expected: a title that is anything but ambitious and limited more or less in every respect, which overall is still delightful, witty and intriguing.

Although it is in effect an iteration of the franchise of The Legend of Heroes, which is finally receiving the deserved attention also in the West, both from a playful and narrative point of view The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is closer to the typical formula of Ys than to that of the brand of which it is part.

Helvetii is an action roguelike that does not present any vaguely original ideas. Characterized by a below-average longevity, it must however be recognized that the product partly compensates for its shortcomings with a high challenge rate and an artistic system that winks at the sensational Vanillaware productions, without fully equaling the visual rendering.

Being extremely close to the original concept, which at least in Japan had been designed for the ill-fated PlayStation Vita, the hybrid nature of Nintendo Switch has returned to the product a portability that keeps boredom away and is well suited to its Pet Simulator mechanics.

In spite of those who since the announcement have criticized the choice of Square Enix to set aside the turn-based combat system of Valkyrie Profile, the spin-off packaged by Soleil has entertained us with a solid and varied playful dough, a satisfactory level of challenge and a lot of strategy.

Despite their inexperience with the stylish action genre, the guys at Reply Game Studio have developed a multifaceted and innovative combat system, which exploits in a very ingenious way the different resources of Briar and Lute.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a partially successful experiment. The deficient script and the anachronistic technical sector, without forgetting a listless artistic direction, are in this case counterbalanced by a layered combat system and largely borrowed from Nioh.

The intriguing story told by Blooming of Forget-me-not and all the news introduced in the past months by the first four episodes of the "Ancient Apostles" series could therefore represent valid incentives to return to the world of Underworld and save it once again, waiting for the fate of the gang led by the Black Swordsman to be fulfilled in the second and final expansion provided by the Season Pass.
