Is Metal Gear Survive worth it? Oh yeah, totally. Game of the Year. Honestly, I don't know why you haven't bought it yet! Death Stranding won't be able to compete with this. Sarcasm aside, don't buy this game, just don't. Yeah, the environments and visuals are kind of neato and the feeling of helplessness certainly comes across, but it's just a clusterfuck.

All of the variation feels pretty hollow, for sure, but the design of the game compliments what that variation lacks. All in all, it's a pretty standard auto-runner that also just happens to have Bubsy in it

5 / 10.0 - Crimson Keep
Jun 8, 2019

Crimson Keep is a decent enough title that you'll get some entertainment out of it, however, the story is barebones, the gameplay at its core is bland and basic, and progressing throughout feels like it's done at a crawl. On the positive side though, the design and overall look of the game are definitely noteworthy, being two aspects that help make this title more appealing from a visual perspective. Long story short, it's up to you in this case, I personally would save my money for something else.

4.5 / 10.0 - Dead or Alive 6
May 19, 2019

So, with all of that taken into account, is Dead or Alive 6 worth picking up? No. Unless you really (and I mean really) need to know what happens in the next installment of the franchise. Yes, credit where credit is due with the gameplay, roster, and visuals, but everything about the game just has this air of 'lacking' around it. The soundtrack could have done a lot more, most of the design was just plain bad, the story felt thrown together at the last minute, and the length of the campaign just doesn't justify the £54 price tag attached to the game.

There's enough on display here that, if you were a big fan of Kirby's Epic Yarn, you could get at least get a couple more hours of entertainment out of it. However, assuming you're not a big fan, than I would suggest waiting for something with a bit more substance to come out, which should be around Metroid Prime 4's release.

Unless you're a huge, huge fan of the series, then I wouldn't go all out on this one, as the developers certainly didn't.

9 / 10.0 - Resident Evil 2
Mar 14, 2019

Resident Evil 2 is a wonderful recreation of a believed original that, not only recaptures the glory of that game, but also improves upon it from a visual and gameplay standpoint. All in all, don't miss out on this one.

6.5 / 10.0 - Riot: Civil Unrest
Mar 13, 2019

Riot: Civil Unrest has the look and feel a good RTS with entertaining yet challenging gameplay sections, but it all feels a bit weird when considering a) these sections are based on real events, and b) that the gameplay is fun and entertaining, but really only when you play as the protesters.

7.5 / 10.0 - Warriors Orochi 4
Feb 20, 2019

If you can look past the little annoyances like grinding and the frame rate, then Warrior Orochi 4, coupled with fun gameplay and pretty looking environments, makes for a rather welcome instalment into the franchise.

If you like watching B-movie's with friends, but would rather play them instead, then yes, Earth Defense Force 5 is the game for you. If you just want to blow shit up, then there are more entertaining games out there.
