The Guild 3 isn't a bad game, but isn't also significantly better than the previous chapter of the series. A terrible interface and some boring mechanics tend to spoil an otherwise interesting gameplay.

A nice turn-based game, quite similar to XCOM but not a clone: a good use of the Warhammer license.

Kapital isn't a bad game, but neither a good one. It offers a fair amount of buildings and mechanics, but nothing new or particularly interesting.

While certainly good in multiplayer, the Necrons DLC comes without a narrative campaign, and the new free sandbox one offers little to single playing gamers.

Distant Worlds 2 is a 4X for veterans of the genre, looking for a game to challenge all their management skills. CodeForce crafted a deep, complex strategy game, albeit one that doesn't concede anything to the modern age in terms of graphics and narrative.

Total War: Warhammer III is sheer fun. Not a particularly deep game, nor a very innovative one, but a game capable of doing what it's meant to do: to provide an enjoyable framework for spectacular, breathtaking fantasy battles.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a visually gorgeous game marred by a very bad case of micromanagement excess. Dinosaurs are great, there is a lot of content and the overall idea is very good, but there is just to much busywork being forced upon the player to enjoy the experience fully.

Dice Legacy is a cute quirky game. The basic mechanics, founded on randomness and dices, are just that, a quirk: the gameplay is, in the end, not that innovative, but the strategical experience is solid and makes for a good, if light on content, city builder-roguelike game.

A 4X game like no other. Unique and innovative, full with interesting mechanics - and some weird ones. Humankind has some clear flaws, indeed, but kudos to Amplitude for pushing the genre forward.

A nice turn-based tactical game, simple to understand but hard to master, set in the ever-fascinating Warhammer 40.000 universe. The experience is fun, but just two armies and one campaign don't fully justify the relatively steep price.

Siege Survival's focus is on realism and the complexity of the management: it's a good game, but it needs some expertise in the genre to be fully appreciated.

A great sequel for a great classic. Management can be tricky and some items can feel unbalanced, but all in all Evil Genius 2 is stylish, delightfully comedic and a blast to play.

A good management game, empowered by a very unique comedic sci-fi setting. Campaign isn't the greatest and a little bit more content would have been great, but all in all a nice return for the classic 2001 Startopia.

Stronghold: Warlords isn't really a bad game, but antiquated mechanics and bland campaigns prevent it from standing out amongst a crowded strategy market.

A nice, historically accurate and not too complex wargame. There is little truly new, if compared to the previous Field of Glory II, but the gameplay is solid and the medieval setting always fascinating.

A decent tactical turn-based game with some rogue-like elements, made great by a superlative, and pervasive, lovecraftian atmosphere.

Empire of Sin isn't a bad game, just a simple game, not deep enough to catch the attention of the genre's veterans. The organized crime theme is, as always, interesting, but it could have been developed better: as it is, Empire of Sin looks more like XCOM-lite with gangsters than a true mafia simulator.

A good trading simulation... and little else, really. Port Royale 4's weak combat system and repetitive gameplay make for a somewhat boring, if functional and honest, strategy game.

Graphically beautiful, fun to play, intelligently designed, Crusader Kings III is one of the best entries in the long list of Paradox's grand strategy games.

Terrible interface, micromanagement hell, but also one of the deepest strategy games on the market.
