Critic Reviews for Field of Glory II: Medieval
Field of Glory 2: Medieval is the closest to a tabletop miniatures experience you'll get on PC.
A nice, historically accurate and not too complex wargame. There is little truly new, if compared to the previous Field of Glory II, but the gameplay is solid and the medieval setting always fascinating.

Byzantine has a great track record when it comes to delivering free patches and extra content for their titles. In the coming months, they will tweak the mechanics for the better and deliver more nations and army lists to improve variety.
While turn-based tactical battle games are not my forte, I did enjoy my time with the game. The hard-won battles felt earned, and the losses taught me to change up and improve my strategies.
A solid and historically authentic entry into a consistently engaging, if slightly safe, turn-based strategy series.
Field of Glory 2: Medieval still has the “magic touch” that drives you to do “one more battle”, but the change in warfare during the medieval period shows how much restrictive is its rule system – making what should’ve been exciting battles into a slog.
