Despite the prospect of discovering the green lands of Ireland, it's hard to get excited after a dozen hours spent on The Wrath of the Druids: this first expansion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is content despite a handful of novelties to recycle the formula of the main adventure, which may quickly tire those who have already completed it. While waiting for the Siege of Paris, which we hope will be much more inspired, we will advise the conquerors to go quietly to their business, waiting for better, less misty days.

There is No Game Wrong Dimension is a delightful and very funny point'n click, which offers various parodies of different genres, takes to a well played narrator, and very clever and meta puzzles. If you like to laugh, play this (non-) game.

9 / 10 - Fez
Apr 20, 2021

On Switch or not, Fez is an incredible experience, strong and deep like very few games do. Whether you already played it somewhere else or not, Phil Fish's game is a must-have and did not aged a bit, even in 10 years.

6 / 10 - Say No! More
Apr 16, 2021

Say No! More is as fun as it is short. In few hours of verbal abuse, Fizbin's arcade shooter delivers a legitimate criticism of the business world, with many good puns. Unfortunately, it's shortness and lack of replay value makes it fun for only a few hours. But good ones, for sure.

Balan Wonderworld is sadly an old-school platformer with all of the 90's worst flaws. Yet colorful, Yuji Naka's first game with Square Enix lacks almost everything, and everyone who likes even a tiny bit the genres should look somewhere else to find some fun.

Minit Fun Racer is a clever mix of an arcade racing game with some roguelite elements. Despite its shortness, the game still offers a few hours of fun, and should not be overlooked by those looking for something fresh and different.

Kaze and the Wild Masks borrows every aspect of the Donkey Kong Country formula, and delivers a classic adventure, which sadly lacks surprises and identity. Despite beautiful environments and old-school collectibles, it is a game you already played for the most part.

After years of absence, Arthur is finally back. For good. Despite its realease on Switch, Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection is still an hardcore, ruthless and satisfying experience, thank to a clever mix of sticking to its roots and expanding its game designer. Persona 5 Strikers calls back the beloved heroes of the original RPG in a sympathetic but sometimes rough beat'em all. Accross all of Japan, Omega Force's new crossover delivers a colorful follow-up which still lacks for true depth and originality, still sticking to the visual identify of its brilliant inspiration.

Thans to its many clever tweaks, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury give the player many reasons to enjoy a great 3D platformer, now a little bit faster, and with friends around the globe online. Let's not forget Bowser's Fury, a tiny open world adventure which rightfully mixes gameplays from the Wii U and Switch episodes, and delivers a strong experience with a twist.

Super Meat Boy Forever is far from achieving the same result as 2010's classic. With a ton of hardcore but mostly random levels, the game especially suffer from questionnable one-button-does-it-all handling, and a lack of finished features. Too bad, because the Dark Worlds and manu secrets still offers to hardcore players a true challenge.

5 / 10 - Haven
Dec 3, 2020

Despite its charming story and truly endearing characters, Haven does not deliver the adventure it once promised. Between its cryptic mecanics, redundant environments and rough battles, it seems like the game does not want to player ton pursue the adventure or have a pleasant time. Too bad, because Danger's soundtrack and the story of Yu and Kay should have need a better treatment.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a nice adventure at the crossroads of Nintendo's Breath of the Wild and the Assassin's Creed saga. By using elements form both series, Ubsioft delivers a colorful and diversed experience, which still suffers from some inaccuracies, within the many fights of puzzles scattered all around the world. Too bad the Switch version do not offers the same visual confort as the other ones.

Hyrule Warriors : Age of Calamity delivers yet another Musou X Zelda experience, but fails to offers a great experience beyond the hardcore fans of Breath of the Wild. Pretty rough, the game lacks precision and variety, despite very good direction and musical score. For a few colorful cinematic moments, players with have to brawl they way through way too many similar fights, even with such iconic characters.

With Assasin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft tries to synthesize a decade-long series, thanks to clever adjustments on its RPG rhythm. With a brilliant lightning, the game visually stands out on Xbox Series X, and offers a more flexible adventure as well as a real stable narrative. Rich, dense, but also time-consuming, Assassin's Creed Valhalla still is a good run, thanks to its historical setting and beautiful landscapes.

Sackboy : A Big Adventure is a beautiful yet very classic platformer. Sumo Digital delivers a decent game mostly made for children : with a repetitive gameplay and a lack of real challenge, it still offers to a younger audience an unharmful and colorful adventure. Too bad the DualSense wasn't used more on PS5.

8 / 10 - Carto
Nov 11, 2020

Carto is a nice, very clever puzzle-game which offers brand new mecanics to change the world by twisting map pieces. Thanks to beautiful landscapes and very well thought enigmas,Sunhead's game only suffers from a lack of clues, which might drive the most impatient players crazy.

As fun and refreshing as it was on the original Wii U, Pikmin 3 Deluxe offers a second chance to a very good strategy game. Despite the loss of a second screen, this Switch port add many extras, like an entire bonus arc with well tied challenges, but also very interesting difficulty modes.

As expected, ScourgeBringer is a well-balanced and dynamic Rogue-lite. Thanks to a fast-paced action and a complete set of moves, Kyhra's adventure through this sometime repetitive but nervous environment makes us want to go for another run almost everytime.

7 / 10 - I Am Dead
Oct 14, 2020

Ricky Haggett's I Am Dead offers a nice walk on a fictional island through the eyes of the recently deceased Morris Lupton, hoping to find a new Keeper to prevent a volcan's eruption. With it's dog Sparky and a clever mecanic of zooming into almost every item, house or people you can see, I Am Dead is a short but relaxing puzzle-adventure. We simply hoped the extra challenge was more rewarding.
