Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is a great JRPG and an excellent sequel to one of the most loved and entertaining titles of this generation. Its exploration and combat work well and further elevate a well-constructed narrative that should appeal to fans of the previous title.

Thanks to the immense talent and dedication of the team led by Toshihiro Nagoshi, not only Yakuza: Like a Dragon manages to keep the franchise's legacy intact, but it evolves and somehow delivers the best game and the best story it has ever had. Even if the original version was already one of the best PS4 titles, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition brings enough improvements to become, in fact, the definitive version of the title. Assassin's Creed Valhalla ends this trilogy in the series in a very satisfactory way. The return of stealth to its origins is great, the combat keeps the same structure from the previous games and the story is up to par with its predecessors. It is a pity that the PS4 version suffers from several technical problems, but other than that, it is a mandatory game for fans of the franchise and manages to capture the Viking spirit well in their adventures.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is one of the best narrative experiences of the year and a fantastic sci-fi tale that will please all fans of giant robots. Although the combat leaves a little to be desired, it does enough to take nothing away from the spectacular artistic style and the story being told.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV is an excellent JRPG and easily one of the very best the genre has to offer in a generation which was rich with great experiences. Its turn-based combat has been finely tuned to perfection and its narrative is a fantastic example of how to reward players for investing time throughout multiple games, ending the metaseries and setting the stage for the future in the best way possible.
