Parham Aghakhani's Reviews

A very short-fused and strict reviewer with a tendency to run into all sorts of bugs and issues while playing video games. Favors indie and retro games to AAA experiences.
4 / 10.0 - E.T. Armies
May 7, 2018

Even if we consider the limitations and problems of the developers, E.T. Armies does not go beyond a weak and disappointing game in the end. The developers' efforts to create an AAA title are commendable, but lack of sufficient experience in this field, coupled with a series of mistakes, has made this title not to appear at a good quality level and also have a lot of problems; Problems that right now and years after the game's release date, show themselves much more than before and have drastically lowered its value

9 / 10.0 - Engare
Feb 26, 2018

Engare cannot be completely considered as a game, because it's mostly a tool to unleash the creativity and imagination of its players. Those who are only after the gameplay and nothing else, won't get much out of Engare; but those who love mathematics and/or geometry or are doing graphical work, will undoubtedly enjoy playing it and tampering with its drawing tools

4.5 / 10.0 - Sonic Forces
Feb 16, 2018

Sonic Forces is supposedly made by the team that brought us Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors. However, the end result is not even nearly as good as those titles. Those who like the avatar creation system and how their avatars work together with the series' most iconic characters, will surely fall in love with this game. But those players who want to experience a good sonic game and have fun will be massively disappointed

7 / 10.0 - Tower 57
Dec 25, 2017

Even with all the issues in Tower 57, like being too easy and too short, it's still enjoyable and reminds everyone of why some old games like The Chaos Engine became classics. The graphics & animations are great, the soundtrack is well-composed and the gameplay is engaging and fun in both single player & multiplayer modes

8.5 / 10.0 - Hand of Fate 2
Dec 3, 2017

Despite some flaws like the limited combat or repetition, Hand of Fate 2 is a great title and an improvement over the first game. The visuals, as well as music and voice acting, are wonderful; and the gameplay, which is a great mix of different styles and mechanics, is very entertaining and satisfying for players who have patience and determination

8.5 / 10.0 - Ruiner
Oct 24, 2017

RUINER is a great game. Its excellent visuals & amazing soundtrack create an engaging atmosphere and combat is exciting & fast-paced. But unfortunately, its brutal difficulty & linear, combat-focused gameplay might discourage some players from continuing the game

9 / 10.0 - Cuphead
Oct 9, 2017

The long wait for Cuphead was really worth it. Its great graphics and fantastic soundtrack are fully reminiscent of early 20th century animations and especially Disney & Max Fleischer cartoons. The gameplay, while being hard & not pulling any punches, is very satisfying and its few problems do not diminish its total value.

Just like its predecessors, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has a very entertaining & addictive gameplay which is even more refined than before. But problems like poor presentation, lackluster roster and mediocre story mode & voice acting not only dragged down the experience, but also it's hard to ignore them and enjoy the game as it .should

8.5 / 10.0 - Giga Wrecker
May 1, 2017

Giga Wrecker is a game which proves its creators at Game Freak are really talented and can create enjoyable games with different gameplay ideas. Elements of platforming, combat and puzzle-solving are well put together and deliver an enjoyable experience. But sadly, a series of problems have prevented the game from being a masterpiece.
