This is most egregious and content light trophy bait clicker to hit the PS4 to date. Stroke The Dog is an abomination, preying upon trophy hunters and dog lovers with the cheapest of cheap asset flips. This is little more than a single stock image of a dog, some royalty-free music and, inexplicably, a cat sound effect. Easily the worst ‘game’ I’ve played in my lifetime, and I hesitate to call it a ‘game’ at all.
Nubla 2 showed some promise in the half an hour of actual game play I managed to get with it – but a glitch in Chapter 1 followed by the game becoming quite literally unplayable because it won’t let me get past the initial menu means any and all of that potential is squandered.
Santa’s Workshop is the video game equivalent of a lump of coal in your stocking. Lacking any of the features that make the idle clicker genre’s best so moreish, it’s a thoroughly hollow affair that’s trying to cash in on holiday spirit with an experience without artistic merit and entirely devoid of intelligent game design.
A featureless, shallow, bland and thoroughly turgid experience, Sabec’s “Bowling” is poor even compared to the bowling mini-games you find inside other games, like GTA IV. It doesn’t follow the rules of bowling, isn’t fun to play and lacks even a hint of personality.
Troubleshooter is ugly, mechanically shallow, stylistically mundane and lacks any kind of innovation. Without a framing or story to give it meaning, it looks like a hodgepodge of assets thrown together with some barely working systems and mechanics built around them. The design flaws are numerous, the soundtrack irritating and it is quite frankly the worst game I’ve played in 2020.

Little Adventure on the Prairie is quite possibly the worst game you’ll ever pay for.
By transplanting the same mechanics and theme from the original Firefighters – The Simulator into a setting that's devoid of any life or fun, VIS Games have managed what I thought was impossible by creating a follow-up that is worse than the original. Firefighters: Airport Fire Department is a disaster and is certainly a contender for the worst game on PS4.
After a year delay, My Name Is Mayo has finally made its way to the EU PSN store and "the easiest platinum game ever" can't even get that right.
The game's website claims that Energy Hook is "a coherent vision that focuses on its visceral core gameplay with no extra fluff like combat or cut scenes". Unfortunately, that extra fluff is exactly what the game is missing.
While Dragons In Space is a functional shoot-em-‘up, it’s short, unattractive, bland and boring. Its tiny asking price is reflective of the fact that it’s one of, if not the worst shmups on the PS4.
This game won’t even be a footnote in the history of the genre but if you can stomach the repetition, it might kill a few hours between other titles.
Despite their being a morbidly entertaining personality to this game which shows all the hallmarks and potential of a well designed treat, it's too broken to play in its current state. I've enjoyed what I have been able to play of Graveyard Keeper but until it's patched, this game is a tough one to recommend to anyone who isn't a PS4 error screen enthusiast.
Blood Waves would have been an adequate mode tacked onto another full game, a tiny side dish to a main meal elsewhere that could kill 2 hours. Unfortunately, as a standalone experience, it’s lacking in depth, excitement and personality. The trap building, the most interesting aspect of the game, is not enough to make this anything more than an also-ran in a genre that’s seen genuine quality over the years.
Deep Ones is one of the most unintuitive games I’ve ever played that’s constantly undermining itself whenever it starts to become enjoyable.
Road Rage wildly misses the mark of successfully replicating the magic of Road Rash. It's a poorly put together game that has more bugs than an insectarium and contains only a handful of enjoyable moments. The combat, which works better than almost every other Road Rash inspired title I've played, and the soundtrack are the only positives to this turgid, unfinished mess that'll make you Rage Quit rather than Road Rage.
36 Fragments of Midnight proves that procedural generation doesn't necessarily benefit some games.
When the game is working as it should, the slick gunplay, simple premise, abrasive sense of humour and clean art style make it an enjoyable playlist co-op game for when you're having some friends over for pizza and gaming. It's a shame that the journey from PC to PS4 has been so rough and that Tango Fiesta is so filled bugs and glitches that I find this version hard to recommend to anyone. Do yourself a favour and go for a Tango Siesta instead (or get the game on PC).
Crypt of the Serpent King might come with a small price tag but like some many other things in life, you get what you pay for.
Hell is the most apt word in the title ‘One Hell Of A Ride’. Rubber banding, rough visuals, an abrasive structure full of unnecessary padding, aggressive track design and a lack of modes outside of a single player campaign mean this game struggles to get off the starting line. There was potential here, but it stalls and chalks up a DNF.
