There is an undeniable charm to the game. You call tell that real effort has been spent on trying to craft a unique world with interesting characters.

Despite some minor gripes, Impact Winter is an otherwise solid game. It has the look, feel and general gameplay of an almost perfect game. However, its poor controls and clunky interfaces do ultimately bog it down. Impact Winter is a game about exploration and managing resources and, whilst difficult, it is a very rewarding experience if you invest the time and immerse yourself in its cold, frozen depths.

If you're looking for the latest graphics and a deep, gritty game, you won't find it here. However, you will find carnage, power-ups, weapons galore, a well thought-out multiplayer mode, hundreds of bullet sponges to mow down, huge levels and tonnes of style. It's an irreverent retro murder fest that doesn't take itself too seriously and manages to not only be funny, but most importantly be FUN - because that's why we play games, isn't it? For fun? PEW PEW!

Overall, I found Kingdom Come: Deliverance to be an innovative, breathe of fresh air. It has a different pace to Skyrim but if you don't mind a challenge and can master the skills, it offers a complex and well crafted world with a great story that's not just interesting to history buffs but appeals to all RPG fans.

I thought I'd pretty much seen everything in the strategy gene and I'm delighted to say Frostpunk while hard and unforgiving is rewarding and a breathe of fresh frozen air to of the strategy genre, with and great story. Underneath the cold harsh tone, difficulty, and slightly tricky interface lie the warm beating heart of a strong and surprisingly deep game.

This Is the Police 2 is a dark and engrossing game that takes the best bits of its predecessor and builds upon it in every way

Two Point Hospital has astonishingly managed to capture the feeling of Theme Hospital, taking all the best elements from original while adding improvements and enhancements. It's not just a sweet dose of nostalgia - it's a fun, funny, and very good game to boot, and will keep you up into the wee hours researching cures or just trying to unlock one more star rating.

The online play is severely lacking and disappointing. But many hours of fun are to be had with this game and even more so with friends.

The best thing about Fallout 76 is the huge detailed wilderness to explore. If you're a Fallout fan there are definitely things to see and you'll be familiar enough with the story and mechanics to enjoy it. However if this is your first foray or you are expecting a game like Fallout 4 then you might want to wait until a few updates have been released and hope that they fill out the world a bit more with personality and story.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate plays to the switch's strengths of quick pick up and play multiplayer battles with friends, but there's enough on offer to keep single players busy too. While it does share a lot of DNA with its predecessors, Super Smash Bros Ultimate is a more evolved and polished version of the franchise and one of the best titles on the Nintendo Switch. The game feels a lot more balanced and considered, but without losing any of the fun. With a dizzying array of customisation, modes, characters and levels, if you're a Smash lover and beat 'em up fan you owe it to yourself to get this game.

While it’s not groundbreaking like Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is still a really solid, addicting platformer with plenty of fun to be had, especially when playing it with friends.

Observer is a love letter to cyberpunk and Blade Runner in particular, but if you look past that it's also a really great game in its own right. We are taken on a graphic and dark journey, in a bleak but believable world, meeting all manner of interesting and isolated characters as Dan searches for his son. Dripping with atmosphere, blood and chrome, this game is a slow, dark deliberate journey through the dark heart of a hellish future and the nightmares within.  Observer is available from the Nintendo e-shop for £26.99

4A has taken so much of what worked well from the previous games and improved upon them. Where possible it also switches up so many established concepts on their head, meaning you're never completely safe. This leads to some memorable, intense experiences with plenty of leeway to play the game your way.

The combat is solid, the game looks great and Rage 2 has enough polish it shines like brand new minted Ranger armour, but the plot is pretty disappointing and nothing we haven’t really seen before.

Between the story mode, online challenges and tutorials there’s loads to learn and do, but the learning is a really enjoyable and rewarding experience, and you can happily get lost in creating your dream Mario Land.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 feels like a cross between Animal Crossing, Minecraft and Breath of the Wild but is unique. With its relaxed pace and overall good plot and satisfying gameplay, it’s an enjoyable game and solid RPG that improves upon its predecessor like a sequel should. The dialogue is funny and charming, the world is interesting and fun to explore.

Youngblood just cannot hope to fill the power armour clad boots of New Colossus. It's a good shooter and great co-op game but don’t expect much more than a run and gun.

Everyone can agree that it is a remake done right from the charming graphics and great music, and there couldn’t have been a better choice of Zelda game to bring to the Switch.
