Without a doubt, SNK 40th Anniversary is probably the strangest collection of retro and classic games I have ever spent time with. Overall, the package bounced around with me having feelings of fun, intrigue, disappointment, and confusion all at the time time.

6.5 / 10.0 - Gundam Versus

I had fun playing Gundam Versus, but couldn't stand it over a long period of time.

As a whole, I enjoyed Shikhondo: Soul Eater. It's a fun game with unique visuals. While I wish I could rate it higher, and I do believe the game is worth looking into, a huge flaw in its replay value cripples it, making it feel incomplete as a full package. Fans of shoot 'em up style games may find this a very unique experience.

Rarely was there a moment where the game felt unfair. Aragami: Shadow Edition is a good time with some minor issues. For people who are missing stealth actions games reminiscent of Tenchu, this could fit the bill.

Is the closing of Kiryu's chapter in Yakuza 6 fulfilling? Honestly I would say no. I expected a bit more from it going in, but does it make sense? Absolutely.

8.5 / 10.0 - Judgment
Jun 19, 2019

Judgment has its faults that are hard to ignore, but its deep story, intense combat, and a wide variety of side activities kept me glued to it for days on end. Judgment is a great game that is well worth the attention to Yakuza fans and newcomers alike.

Even with a couple of stumbles, and one bug in my time, I still had a great time with the game.

As a whole I really did enjoy my time with Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden quite a bit. While it may not win any awards game of the year awards it is however a damn good time. PC gamers should be warned however that this game does use the DRM Denuvo. While this may affect the want to purchase the game for some, at $35 for the standard edition of the game it is a great time, with good value, and is definitely worthy of your money.

8.5 / 10.0 - SoulCalibur VI
Oct 25, 2018

While the developer has said that if Soulcalibur VI doesn't do well we might not see a continuation of the series, this will surely nab a strong foothold in the genre and if we get a new entry. It will be interesting to see where it evolves to next, and with what kind of fan-driven refinements.

Overall Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is a great game. It's a fantastic adventure with some noticeable flaws that can be mostly overlooked. Even if you rush through the game, you can expect roughly 40 to 50 hours of gameplay, while completionists can expect far more than that.

Jumping from handheld to the big screen has been nothing but a delight for me. It's great to see everything redone, and not bound by portable systems' graphical limitations. There were a few bumps along the road, but most of my gripes are minor, feeling like little nitpicks in an otherwise fantastic game.
