Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition is a superfluous remaster. While it features slightly sharper textures, revamped audio, and updated 3D models, the changes are marginal compared to the original game, which is already playable in 4K and enhanced by the 2021 Anniversary Edition. Furthermore, the renewed UI partially undermines the user experience, while the changes to the control scheme make it less flexible. Despite all that, the qualities of the original game are still there.

After The Witch Queen, Lightfall is a step back for Destiny 2, both story-wise and in terms of its gameplay mechanics.

Plagued with technical issues partially resolved patch after patch, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate Daemonhunters has also problems in terms of balancing and AI. The boss fights are well done, but it's also a little monotonous as you find yourself playing the same dull couple of missions from the start to the very end of the game.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is not a bad game but it is disappointing, a metroidvania all too anchored in the past that doesn't really add anything new to the genre that Koji Igarashi himself contributed to create. Beyond the bland execution and the continuous plagiarism of Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow, Bloodstained is plagued by too many problems, especially in terms of combat and the hitbox system, preventing an enjoyable gaming experience. It hurts to say this, but there are too many better alternatives to Bloodstained on the market. We expected a lot more than this from Igarashi-san.

There's a lot of content here, but the many technical issues, the poor balancing between the twelve factions, and the many feature missing from its direct predecessor make Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 an underwhelming experience.

Neocore offers a fascinating story based on the universe of Warhammer 40,000, but wastes his chance with a heavily imperfect technical system.

Nine Partchments could be a fun game if you can wander in its levels with a couple of friends (in no more than a couple of evenings). After that, the experience gets boring and repetitive, and you'll probably search for something else to play.

Warcraft III is still one of the best RTS ever made, yet this Reforged edition is just a lazy remaster. That's because many features are missing and the game is plagued by a significant amount of technical issues.

Minecraft Dungeons is a good entry point into the world of the hack & slash games tailored for a younger audience. Too bad the loot system is abysmal and there's no endgame whatsoever.

Bleeding Edge is a decent multiplayer action game lacking enought content to keep the players engaged in the long term.

After hours spent in the world of Age of Empires - Definitive Edition, we still don't have the answer to the real question: why should we play this remake? Gameplay-wise, the genre has seen a lot of improvements over the years, and the developers weren't bold enough to give a fresh start to the original title. At the end of the day, this seems more and more like a wasted opportunity.

F1 24 is a definite step backward for the Codemasters and Electronic Arts series. Many of the new features introduced in this new iteration are not only unconvincing, but in fact go to the detriment of a game formula that is admittedly old but at least works. With less content than last year and an outdated graphics compartment, the 2024 edition of the official Formula 1 video game is nothing more than a homework assignment. While waiting for a revolution that may never come, unfortunately this remains the only alternative for fans of the top motorsport championship.

Astor: Blade of the Monolith is an action game with a nice combat system, but unfortunately it tends to repeat game situations a little too often during the approximately 15 hours needed to reach the end credits.

Despite being a jack of all trade (and master of none), Bright Memory: Infinite is still a game both frantic and visually impressive, but it's also very short. Maybe too short.

Re-Legion is based on some interesting ideas and has a nice cyberpunk setting. Sadly there's only one game mode (the single player campaign), and overall the game feels very easy due to a lackluster AI.

Ashen is a souls-like game with a particular focus on the co-op multiplayer. Sadly this feature rarely works as intended, but despite its flaws, the game developed by A44 is still an enjoyable variation to the formula created by Miyazaki and From Software.
