Adam Siddiqui's Reviews
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is an exciting and rewarding tale full of drama and tough decisions. Those who played the original game will definitely find more value here than newcomers because of prior knowledge of Chloe and most of the characters.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm reminds us what it's like to grow up as a teenager, and the mixture of joy and vexation that comes with finding out which path is worth taking.
Answers will be provided and new questions will replace them, coupled with uneasy decisions that alter the story as you progress, and Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 provides more than enough reason to play after you're done.
While it spoils a potentially great antagonist it gives a solid conclusion of everything that transpired. Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 Episode 5 Above and Beyond provides the player with a finish that encompasses their entire journey into one 70 minute adventure.
Hello Neighbor starts off strong, with a strange mystery and interesting place to explore. As you progress through the game's act it quickly loses momentum eventually ending with a whimper instead of the game many were hoping for since the early alphas.
Wickedly violent and fun combat, detailed environments, and hordes of enemies to kill. It doesn't add anything new but the combination of fun and horror sets a chilling mood, making A Walk in the Park a great reason to get back into The Surge.
Batman The Enemy Within Episode 3: Fractured Mask doesn't attempt to rush things any focuses more on narrative instead of action. In Batman The Enemy Within Episode 3: Fractured Mask you'll either push away those potential allies or made new alliances.
Star Wars Battlefront II's predatory microtransaction system drains a lot of the desire to continue playing, creating a new hole for the Star Wars Battlefront series to stumble into.
For its price, de Blob delivers a solid adventure. Venturing throughout, splattering paint around each area, and completing challenges are fun for a few levels but quickly lose their luster.
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is a phenomenal addition to an already fantastic game. It shares the same quality as the main game and doubles down on feature content with more battles, quests, and challenges.
A heavy focus is put on a weak custom character that for some reason plays a larger role than Classic Sonic. Sonic Forces takes too many steps backward from 2011's formula for an experience that's average at best.
Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy is another excellent addition to Telltale's growing library of games. The fantastic story and decisions help mold the story into a personal dialogue of the player's choosing, encouraging multiple playthroughs with unique outcomes.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Episode 5 Don't Stop Believin is a fantastic ending to this season. The animations were distracting but the removal of tiresome puzzles for more narrative and action made episode 5 the best one of the entire season.
Call of Duty: WWII is a refreshing experience from the modern and futuristic settings of recently past Call of Duty games. It tells a more personal tale of how soldiers during World War 2 attempted to come to grips with the horrors they endured and found the fortitude to walk each step.
Raiders of the Broken Planet has a lot of promise. The game currently only features 6 missions over 2 campaigns but has 3 more operations on the way. The incredible world and lore of this science-fiction universe were captivating but the issue was all the grinding.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is an extraordinary realization of Egypt that genuinely reconstructs this ancient civilization. Missions and combat are much more varied and challenging than previous games with Bayek taking center stage as one of the best protagonists in the franchise.
In one scene you can be in an ultra-serious situation dealing with someone on the brink of suicide and in another a laugh-out-loud comedy, and that’s what Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is about. It brings together these outstandingly written and acted characters to life within a bleak world where death can happen at any time.
Super Mario Odyssey is full of innovative gameplay and original levels that it easily can eat up your time. The story simply serves as a goal for the player but the in-game introduction of new platforming action that constantly created unexpected mechanics filled me with joy and excitement.
Life is Strange Before the Storm Episode 2: Brave New World is a fantastic addition to this 3 part series. It still suffers from the same issues from the first episode but these are minor complaints.
The Evil Within 2 doesn't attempt to do much in originality when it comes to the survival-horror genre but successfully creates a gripping tale of horror and suspense. It takes a while to get started the story eventually evolves into a captivating tale of dedication and desires.
