Oddworld: Soulstorm is the best 2D stealth puzzle adventure game ever made. From its variety of well-crafted gameplay elements to its sprawling levels that beg to be replayed; it's an incredible journey and with quite a touching story, too.
Arkham Horror: Mother's Embrace presents quite a cool gameplay concoction but it doesn't execute any of its elements all that well. If its concept appeals to you then you might have some fun but it'll still be weighed down by its hard to ignore shortcomings.
It Takes Two is a cooperative gaming experience like no other. Its gameplay sometimes takes a back seat to the overall spectacle of the adventure but even when that happens, it's hard not to enjoy every minute of this incredible journey.
If you enjoyed the first game then you'll have a blast with TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD. It's full of furry friends, loads of gameplay variety, and oodles of collectibles and upgrades that are supremely rewarding to unlock.
Playing Tank Brawl 2: Armor Fury will make you have flashbacks to Capcom's Commando albeit with much more firepower and finesse.
Navigating through El Hijo - A Wild West Tale's world is tense without being overwhelming which makes it a truly great stealth game.
Get-A-Grip Chip makes it fun to replay levels over and over again in order to find their collectibles and climb the leaderboards.
Stacks On Stacks (On Stacks) is one over-the-top indie that's sure to scratch your itch for fun-filled gaming that's on the goofy side.
Offering simple questions and featuring a lighthearted and fun-filled presentation, Papa's Quiz is a solid trivia game for all ages.
As far as co-op games go, Magic Twins is one of the best as it's bursting with charm, fun content, and impressively challenging gameplay.
If you want to play a simple online vehicle-based competitive arena game then Drive Buy thankfully offers some solid entertainment.
If you're in the mood for a tense first-person narrative, turn the lights down and play Paradise Lost; it's a true atmospheric gem.
Unless you're a hardcore fan of the original board game or you're looking a simple game to play with your kids, it's hard to wholeheartedly recommend The Game of Life 2. That being said, it does have some lovely graphics and fun themes.
If you have a soft spot for classic 3D platformers and imaginative game worlds, you'll have a lovely time with Balan Wonderworld. With a heartfelt story, plenty of cuteness, a clever costume system, and oodles of stages to master; it's one incredible adventure.
It may not be for hardcore simulation fans but folks like me who enjoy a more arcade-style sim experience will find Spacebase Startopia to be quite a delightful gem of a game. Plus, it's downright hilarious!
Black Legend features some outstanding gameplay elements that can make its battles extremely rewarding. On the other hand, its underwhelming and monotonous game world combines with oodles of technical issues to hold it back from greatness.
Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S is the best classic-style Picross game that I've ever played thanks to its cheerful presentation, streamlined gameplay, ridiculous amount of puzzles, and rewarding unlockables. If you're a Hatsune Miku or Picross fan, it's a must-play.
NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol.1 is as good as you'd expect a collection of 10 portable games from the turn of the millennium to be. Throw in a couple of hidden gems and some cool features and you're left with a decent offering from SNK.
Beach Buggy Racing 2: Island Adventure is one of the best indie kart racers that I've ever played. If you enjoy lighthearted racing games, too, then you'll get a kick out of what it offers, especially if you plan on playing with friends.
2D platformers simply don't get much better than Kaze and the Wild Masks. Between its top-notch presentation and its tight and challenging gameplay, any genre fan would be a goof for not giving it a go.
