I had such an incredible time going back into the Half-Life universe, and in VR. It's outstanding. The story is full of surprises as you can expect from a Half-Life game. A true AAA experience in VR, Half-Life: Alyx is a triumphant return for Valve—even if you aren't playing as Gordon Freeman.
An incredible detailed and large game, Baldur's Gate 3 is a joy for RPG fans and fans of the pen and paper game as well.
NBA 2K16 brings another year of championship quality basketball to the console and PC.
A solid outing for this year's Skylanders, SuperChargers is a lot of fun to play and you can now do it online with friends.
Like the Cleveland Cavs, NBA 2K17 is a championship caliber basketball game.
It does have its issues, but Fallout 4 VR is one of my favorite VR titles so far. Make sure you have a very beefy computer to run it though.
I really loved playing Skyrim with my HTC Vive and even with the bugs that it has, the game's great fun. Add in a bunch of mods to really up the game.
A great pickup at such an inexpensive price, Dead Man DLC gives a solid short campaign and the addition of new two-handed weapons for you to use as well as better network code.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales shines on the PlayStation 5 with great graphics, solid gameplay, and excellent use of the new DualSense controller for a seriously fun game to play on the brand new console.
Nixxes has done a great job adding some PC centric features for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and it runs well if you have a good machine. The reflections really add to the visuals and the gameplay is tight. There are a few bugs here and there and DLSS isn't working correctly. Get this on the PC if you haven't played it.
With the release of Miles Morales, PC gamers will be able to enjoy both great Spider-Man games if they don't own a PlayStation 4 or 5. The game does need a solid machine, and if you have a NVIDIA Ada Lovelace card, you can unlock some great extra performance. It's a continuation of Marvel's Spider-Man with some new powers and some slightly different enemies, but it's solid and will give fans of the first game more of what was good to begin with.
It's rare to see such a massive VR game, especially on a mobile platform. Asgard's Wrath 2 delivers a ton of gameplay and a mountain of content. Minor issues aside, this game has it all for VR owners and is a great sequel to the Quest 2 game.
Zen goes out with a bang with three really good tables and one OK table. For the price of three tables, you get four to play and each have something a little different to offer.
The swappable characters add a nice new mechanic and jumping is finally in. The PlayStation 4 version looks solid with better textures and resolution. It's fun for the whole family, but can be an expensive investment if your kid wants to unlock every level in the game.
I had a lot of fun with Arizona Sunshine with a superb single player experience. I wish the multiplayer modes were more stable, because playing with friends was a blast.
Another year and another good outing for SCE San Diego Studio. MLB The Show 16 has some great improvements for Road to the Show, but some problems still persist. Baseball lovers will definitely enjoy the game.
There's not too much to not like about Injustice 2's port to the PC. A great fighting game along with plenty of features to keep you busy.
MLB 14 The Show is a great baseball game marred by long load times, inconsistent online play, and performance issues. It's still a fun game and Road to the Show is, as usual, a great way to play the game. Fans of baseball will enjoy the game, but it's a little disappointing to see the performance issues.
While very short, fans of the show will love being able to move around and interact in the world of Rick and Morty.
Wolfenstein: The New Order surprised me. I didn't expect to like it much, but I found the action fun and the visuals impressive. Performance issues still arise on the PC. Some of those issues, which stem from the id Tech 5 engine, should've been taken care of by now since they were present when Rage first came out in 2011. Overall, a solid action shooter by MachineGames.
