The audio and visual presentations are among the best in any remake we’ve seen in all these years and the option to instantly switch to old version is a great bonus but gameplay-wise, the developers have stuck too close to the original design which has resulted in a very frustrating game, even by platforming genre’s usual “annoyance first, fun later” philosophy.

10 / 10.0 - Spiritfarer
Jun 26, 2021

Spiritfarer hits all the right emotional notes. In a game that is all about death and loss of people that you love, you don’t have to worry about winning or losing, just being a good person and helping others in need is all that is required of you and that's exactly why you should be playing this game.

Although it looks low budget and the events are about half of what they were in the last Official Video Game of the Olympics around a decade ago, this is still a fun experience specially in co-op.

Aside from visuals that sometimes get in the way of reading the text parts and even understanding some of the actions, The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED] provides players with some interesting and totally different deep levels that have many secrets hidden in their nooks and crannies.

Although it’s not as crazy as the first one, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is still one crazy one of a kind video game and everything else about it is better than the franchise starter. The removal of the half-baked open world is the real hero here which gives us a tighter and more enjoyable experience.

7 / 10.0 - No More Heroes
Jun 20, 2021

The craziness that you can feel throughout No More Heroes is the spice that most recent of video games lack and for this very simple reason, it is worth braving this not so ideal of a port to experience this different frequency of energy.

You don’t have to try so hard to find the inspirations that ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights has taken from the most famous Metroidvania and souls-like titles but it’s not a bad thing at all. This is as standard as a video game in this genre gets and thankfully it doesn’t punish you harshly for the mistakes that you make which in turn makes it one of the most fun Metroidvanias in years.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade adds a nice new short story with memorable characters and moments to the original package and fixes all the technical problems with the original one. There is also a new mini-game which you’ll probably sink a lot of time into and the action is even more bombastic than the original release.

The art style and its attention to details are mind blowing and any video game that make you sympathize with a bunch of scary monsters and question your own actions in real life is an experience well worth having.

This is a fantastic opportunity to re/visit one of the most influential action franchises of all time. The first one may not be as revolutionary as when it first came out and the third one is actually better than how it was treated when it first came out but as a whole, this is a pretty worthy proposition.

The combat design is not as good as you would expect from a fighting focused game and the RPG systems are buried under some very confusing UI and menus but all in all, this is one of the best and most fulfilling Dragon Ball video game experiences.

This has everything a parent or an older sibling needs when choosing a video game for the younger members of their household and it also has all the things that make modern open world games tick so this can act as a nice practice run for when those younger children become older life-long gamers.

8 / 10.0 - Green Hell
Jun 9, 2021

Green Hell tries to be a hardcore survival experience and it achieves its goal but the story needed to be more focused on the exploitation of Amazon and its natives by governments and corporations alike to actually mean anything.

8 / 10.0 - Edge of Eternity
Jun 8, 2021

Edge of Eternity wears all its inspirations on its sleeves and is better off for it. This is a pretty standard JRPG but the world building and the motivation of characters and how they interact with each other and the world, are what sets it apart from the fold.

There are some new brilliant ideas like the Druid enemies and the new locales are a sight to behold but all in all, this just ten to fifteen more hours the same Assassin’s Creed experience which is the best news for the die-hard fans of the franchise.

Most Walking Sims at least make up for what they lack in gameplay, with their stories but The Magnificent Trufflepigs doesn’t even bother with that! The writers just pepper some ideas here and there and are absolutely vague about everything and the resolution of the story is among the worst endings in some time. There is a fun detecting game in here that is constantly interrupted by the story of a character that I hate.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister tries to be the most authentic D&D adaptation in the video game form and it achieves that in spades. The whole thing may seem a little bit on the cliché and conservative side of RPG design but all the parts have been put together in such a good way that this adventure becomes quite thrilling to go through.

A pixel art film-noir RPG sounds like a golden idea but Pecaminosa’s execution leaves a lot to be desired. The pacing is uneven and the quasi-fantasy parts are out of nowhere but the boss fights are fun and have 8 & 16-bit era vibes.
