6 / 10.0 - SolSeraph
Aug 12, 2019

Solseraph could have been a great game, unfortunately, its just not very entertaining. The city building bits are good enough but they get broken up by very bland platforming sections, they just don't seem to fit very well and feel rushed. It is certainly unique with its mixture of game styles but it is too disjointed to be enjoyed to its fullest.

6 / 10.0 - Windscape
Apr 7, 2019

Windscape is not a bad game, in fact there were times, mainly when I was chilling listening to the music and crafting, I really enjoyed it. I just wished the quests were more varied and had a bit more life to them.

I have always enjoyed sports and, with it, the video game counterparts that try to emulate the intense competition and rivalry I enjoy so much. From PGA Tour to Hot Shots golf and Wii Sports to Rockstars Table Tennis, I have played many sports simulations over the years, but this is my first Quest 2 sports game review. Welcome to Tennis League VR.

I have a strange attraction to farming video games, well, the good ones anyway. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon and all that Jazz. It seems strange to a lot of people that someone who adores Monster Hunter, Dark Souls and Battlefield, can appreciate a finely grown turnip, but there you go

Two of my favourite things in the world are video games and board games and when they collide, woo-hoo, exciting times ahoy! I knew nothing about Dice Legacy going in but I knew it had dice and was a video game so most of the battle had already been won, let’s roll the dice and hope for an enjoyable video game board game mashup.

What would you do if you were a sentient AI? In I, AI by Satur Entertainment and Sometimes You tries to answer that question. You play an AI that is designed to create military-grade weapons on a space station. You manage to escape in the first level, which to be honest, is one of the weirdest levels I have seen in a shoot-em-up before. After traversing a circuit board, you get in a spaceship and proceed to shoot your way to freedom.

When I first booted up Save me Mr Tako, my brain got dragged back to my youth. Where a younger me and a friend of mine were camped on his porch playing Gameboys. Those basic, crunchy chiptunes, the muted green and black colour palette, times were a lot simpler back then. Save me Mr Tako harks back to these simpler times, with its pure gameplay and classic presentation, it’s a breath of fresh air in this trying modern era of gaming.

Journey of the Broken Circle is a story about friendship, loss, love and beauty. Most of all though it’s a story about a little circle who likes to stick random things in his mouth. How does he still talk when his mouth is holding a random object? Who knows, all I know is that this game hits some narrative tones that I was perhaps not expecting and perhaps are unheard of for a game of its ilk.

7 / 10.0 - Undead Horde
May 20, 2019

I really enjoyed my time with this quirky little game. It does not overstay it’s welcome and was fun from start to finish. It’s a nice mix of different genres and I especially enjoyed raising an undead army and using them to quell my foes. The game has a nice steady stream of unlocks and new features to experience. Managing your undead army is fun, rewarding and combat does have some strategy and tactical nuances.

7 / 10.0 - Dungeon Stars
Feb 20, 2019

There are hidden depths and strategy to be had if you look deep enough. Even though I am not a fan of auto-runners, I got used to it eventually and just sat back and enjoyed the combat system. The combat system is fun and easy to operate, the loot and upgrading your team of heroes is rewarding.

7 / 10.0 - Rad Rodgers

If you like 90’s platformers, crude humour and don’t mind something that’s a bit rough around the edges then you will like this title. If your looking for a tight, polished platformer then look elsewhere, this is not your game.

7 / 10.0 - Ninja Legends
Nov 2, 2020

While it may get a bit repetitive over time, Ninja Legends is a lot of fun. It's fast, it's fluid and when you pull off amazing feats of ninja-like badassness, it feels superb. Just play it in short bursts and you will not go wrong.

I initially loved the survival and building aspects of The Walking Dead Onslaught. Unfortunately it wore thin quite quick. I would have liked more depth and more variety but what we have is fun, immersive, zombie bashing good time. I just recommend playing in short bursts otherwise it will get repetitive very quickly.

Bright, colourful and completely insane. No Straight Roads is like nothing I have played in recent memory and I enjoyed my time with it. It may be a bit much for some and at times it has a few performance issues but overall if you are into weird games, brawlers or rhythm games, give it a shot you might like it. Let's rock!

Enjoyable, fun and a reminder of days past. Ultracore is quite simple and sometimes difficult but a refreshing break from overly-bloated games of the modern era.

7 / 10.0 - Skully
Aug 4, 2020

Skully is light-hearted, old-skool fun. In an era of online shooters and battle royale titles it is a breath of fresh air. At times difficult but not overly so, it will respect your platforming skills and have you performing daring feats. Nothing is incredibly unique here but what you have is executed well. Skully is not my favourite game of the year but fun distraction nonetheless.

7 / 10.0 - Good Goliath
Mar 31, 2020

Good Goliath is short and fun but maybe a bit of a one trick pony. I did enjoy the combo system and the slight puzzle style to the oncoming enemy waves. Its graphics, environments and immersion are all top notch and as long as you do not mind just throwing stuff for a few hours and a few small issues, do not hesitate to give it a try, I enjoyed my short time with it.

I do not think for one minute that this is a game for everyone. However, if you have a aptitude for learning a technique and like winter sport simulations then this game could be for you. After a steep early learning curve I really started to enjoy it, it works well and has a simple yet addictive gameplay loop.

7 / 10.0 - Golem (VR)
Nov 29, 2019

I really feel that Golem is a short jump away from being one of PSVR's best titles. If the movement controls were more intuitive and the tracking of the Move controller in battle was more accurate it would be an amazing game. I loved the gameplay loop and the combat is superb when it functions correctly. I really enjoyed Golem most of the time but I feel some people will get annoyed with it too easily, even I did at times.

7 / 10.0 - VR Ping Pong Pro
Nov 18, 2019

Even with its weird physics and slight controller issues, VR Ping Pong Pro can be entertaining. You just need to get used to the handling and eventually it will feel natural and be fun to play. Unfortunately, the initial issues may put some players off.
