The game is wonderfully self-aware and melds that awareness together with well thought out and fun retro brawling. It's replayable, has several challenging secret bosses and local co-op. I can't recommend the game enough as long as you don't mind a challenge.
For The King is overall a fantastic combination of game genres and emulates the tabletop experience quite well. Especially when playing with friends together on the couch. It has a ton of content and nature of the game and procedural generation makes the replay value sky high. The technical issues are really the only thing bringing the game down. Just keep in mind the game is challenging and even tells you outright that you are not always meant to win.
Remnant is overall a fantastic action RPG and great souls-like sibling. The enemy variety, stellar combat, and procedural aspect skyrocket its replay value and the meaningful loot is exciting in this gaming climate. It's challenging even on normal, but far less brutal than Dark Souls, but you can kick up the heat on a harder setting. If you enjoy games like Dark Souls or action RPGs this is an instant buy, especially if you have friends to play with.
If you are looking for a great co-op experience with trusted friends, you really can’t go wrong with Overcooked 2. It’s method to the madness gameplay will keep you entertained for hours. The short length simply leaves you wishing you had more of it in the first place.
Is it worth it? It is for me. Total Warhammer 2 is a complex game with deep mechanics, varied gameplay and I’ll never tire of watching my Carnosaurs thrash the filthy Skaven (Via viewing replays of course). It takes an investment of time to dig into the game but that investment pays off in spades when you know what you’re doing. It’s just a shame that you need to seek sources outside the game to truly grasp it.
The core of Breakpoint is a fast-paced arcade experience, and the game absolutely nails it with addictive gameplay and eye-popping visual effects. I know people still like arcade games because they keep buying old ones repackaged. Breakpoint costs just under five dollars, so why not make some new nostalgia instead?
Regardless The Oathbound faction is incredibly cool, fun to play, and brings another unique playstyle to the game. Star Kings is a powerful final act for the elegant beast of a game that we call Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Previous fans would be doing themselves a disservice by missing out on it.
Sector Six is a truly impressive game for its size, with a shocking amount of depth and nuance to its systems. It looks good, is fun, and has a bunch of replay value. The amount of customization you have between the shipbuilding and abilities is pretty crazy for a game like this.
Barring a few balance issues and poor bot AI, Pummel party is a fantastic game to play with friends, locally or online. The high-quality variety of mini-games and quirky boards will keep your party pummeling for a long time to come, and using the hilarious array of items on your pals never gets old. It is a steal at fifteen dollars.
In the end, New Dawn is still fun, it’s pretty to look at and the guns for hire system is still great. It just doesn’t do much with its new setting and the main story is a tad bit short. It feels like an expansion to Five instead of a sequel, but its price point reflects that fact. If you enjoyed FarCry 5, New Dawn will give you more to love. But if you didn’t, New Dawn isn’t going to win you over.
The puzzles themselves are well designed, thought provoking and require teamwork, and the various mechanics are cleverly implemented. It's beautiful to look at and the narrator Kira Buckland does a stellar job. But it is a game of patience and easy-going temperament
If you like card and board games, physically or digitally. You would be doing yourself a disservice by passing up Evolution. Its mechanics are tight and fun and the digital version brings it some additional charm and the ability to play whenever you want against well-crafted AI players, or folk from around the world online. Well worth the price.
