5.5 / 10.0 - Hellboy Web of Wyrd
Oct 22, 2023

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is an insufficient game in almost every aspect. Unfortunately, the love that the development team must have for the franchise is not matched by an action roguelike, slow, cumbersome and terribly poor in variety.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel worthy of the name. Respawn has expanded and improved everything that convinced us of its predecessor, starting with a well-written story and not without remarkable twists near the end credits.

8.3 / 10.0 - Hogwarts Legacy
Feb 9, 2023

Hogwarts Legacy can be a manifesto of the heart that wins over reason. The one basted by Avalanche Software is in fact an open world RPG not very stimulating in the dynamics of exploration and with a role-playing formula not entirely impactful, which could tire the most demanding players. However, we believe that the flaws are well balanced by a good combat system, a great attention to detail and an impeccable artistic direction, which represents a true love letter to the Wizarding World and its fans.

Bardock: Alone against fate is a DLC with a small duration, from which CyberConnect2 has tried to draw all possible potential. Although they are few, given the very linear structure of the main story, the secondary missions allow you to better deepen the character of the protagonist and his supporting actors, confirming the excellent philological work done by the development team on the mythology of Dragon Ball Z.

7.8 / 10.0 - Lost in Play
Aug 10, 2022

Lost in Play is a point-and-click adventure made of irreverent no-sense comedy, intuitive puzzles and puzzles not particularly stimulating, but layered enough to make you spend a handful of hours of fun.

8.3 / 10.0 - Stray
Jul 18, 2022

Stray is a changing adventure in its playful and fascinating proposal thanks to its powerful artistic direction. At the passing of the credits, summing up, one perceives perhaps the main limits of the work: a story steeped in mystery, coherent and exciting with its own scenario, but perhaps not entirely capable of leaving its mark as it should in the finale.

7.8 / 10.0 - The Quarry
Jun 8, 2022

The Quarry is the spiritual heir of Until Dawn: from the exclusive PlayStation of 2015 Supermassive Games takes up various themes, above all the ingenuity and cloying of the adolescent world, exploiting them as a starting point to tell a visceral horror, buried under an ancient mythology and to be discovered.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is a pleasant tale of origins and investigation, which continues frogwares' extremely intimate and introspective approach to the character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The game often stumbles upon the narrative errors of its predecessor, not sufficiently delving into some crucial ideas in the epilogue of the adventure.

Deck Nine knows how to make the most of its characters, and in this sense the DLC of Life is Strange: True Colors does not disappoint. Steph's story is quite intense on an emotional level and will appeal especially to fans of the first chapter of the series, but it stumbles on the playful front.

7.8 / 10.0 - FIFA 22
Sep 27, 2021

The EA Sports revolution comes to life in FIFA 22 for next gen, but in our opinion we are facing a starting point and certainly not a goal for Canadian football. The novelties guaranteed by Hypermotion Technology, a real pillar of this year's offer, give the scenic impact and gameplay a realism that is unprecedented for the series.

Life is Strange: True Colors is the most extensive and ambitious chapter of the Square-Enix series, but it does not reach the narrative depth of the previous chapters. While declining in a precious way the theme of empathy and forgiveness, some narrative choices and certain script ideas would perhaps have deserved a greater deepening.
