Critic Reviews for Solo Leveling: ARISE

It might not always blow you away with originality, but Solo Leveling: ARISE is still a pretty enjoyable and involving adventure on PC.

Overall, Solo Leveling: ARISE is still an excellent game, one worthy of a look even for those who don't usually find gacha games appealing. Sung Jinwoo being an effective character and a depth of strategy will even allow free-to-play users to thrive, though they'll likely be looking at battle pass subscribers with envy given how wide the chasm is between the two demographics. Strong gameplay, an adoration for the source material, and a number of tactical decisions that make strategy paramount characterize one of the better "free" mobile game releases in quite some time.

Solo Leveling Arise is authentic to its anime and webtoon inspirations, but it's too grindy, frustrating, and repetitive to come close to rivaling the best gacha games.

Solo Leveling: Arise is a convincing, easy-to-play action game with a slick combat system and great presentation. However, the sometimes miserably long grind, the gacha mechanics and other weaknesses prevent Jin-Woo from reaching the highest level in this version of his gripping adventure.

"An RPG that stays true to the original manhwa" Solo Leveling: ARISE succeeds in delivering a faithful and engaging action RPG experience that will appeal to manhwa and anime fans. Its fast-paced combat, stunning visuals, and diverse side content make it enjoyable despite some repetitive gameplay and technical issues. The game offers fans of the series the chance to experience Sung Jin-woo's journey firsthand, but the gacha system and long loading times might prove off-putting for new players. Nevertheless, it remains one of the best adaptations of the Solo Leveling universe.
