It's very sad that a game from a debutant team has to suffer such a hammering, added to the fact that this is the first international title for a Nigerian programming team. But this is a poor title, very poor. And I'm afraid I find it hard to understand how something with a very large amount of problems has been released in this condition. I hope that Smart olive Games will not lose the illusion and momentum after the setbacks that such an incomplete and poorly executed game is receiving.

40 / 100 - Thunder Paw
Jun 15, 2020

Small equipment and means, simple systems, furros...in a basic R&G, a shooting game and platform. Nice, repetitive, little, and with the incentive of exploration and that precious secret in each level. And cats with eye patches to the end, too.

Strawberry Vinegar is a visual novel focused on friendship and food, lots of food. With a 'cute' aesthetic, quite heavy, with six endings and a duration that can exceed five hours reaching the normal end, they make up a title of more than 80,000 words with an operation that does not depart from the canons of this genre, and that nor does it need it for those who like it.

With a retro look, voxels, pouches and an attention-grabbing approach, Super Destronaut - Land Wars is a limited FPS in terms of content and playable design. It may take a few curious moments before the repetitive and scarce of the set makes a dent in the player.

The number that accompanies this extract is not worth much. Because in the monstrous, mammoth and even chaotic hurricane of action that Warhammer 40,000 - Shootas, Blood & Teef proposes, there is a great dividing line marked: what a solo player will find, and what we will have if we play accompanied, local cooperative or online until for four simultaneous players. In the first case, we have a Run'n Gun that draws from a particular design in control and arrangement of the action in arenas, or areas where the cleaning of enemies prevails over the 2D advance with jumps and dangers, staying in a campaign not too well solved for the lone wolves. In the second case, the chaos and action are multiplied, as well as the importance of coordination and collaboration between players, although this tidal wave of action on the screen is not always comfortable to place four main characters. But without a doubt, being that last facet that the game is really focused on. If you are interested in this game, and there are plenty of incentives for it, consider the way you will play Shootas, Blood & Teef, because the change of experience and the fun are totally opposite on both fronts.

Where the Heart Leads is another narrative game representative, here capturing a 'slice of life', the story of a worldly person, with its decisions and consequences. A beautiful visual part, but limited means that take a direct toll on the narrative and execution, this being the great handicap of the game. But still, another interesting representative in this style of 'playing stories', with considerable variability and changes, being more active and branched than other games of this style, although these narrative limitations take their toll when it comes to exploiting these possibilities and replayability .

A powerful and hooligan premise cannot always sustain the total within a game. And Kill it with Fire is powerfully flashy, but with little baggage. Making the cenutrium killing spiders is fun, but the passage of time makes the proposal not so convincing, even opening its levels more and offering more possible, objectives and a system of improvements and obtaining more equipment and weapons. An attractive idea that is not carried out as it should by turning it into a complete and commercial game.

55 / 100 - Clash Force
Jul 20, 2020

Past tenses and development in that fight. Advance, jump and shoot in 2D. Special events, complications, and those bosses end so remembered. He has a fun time with Clash Force, without needing old nostalgia, but the thing is not very far neither in visual inspiration nor in level design. Have a nice time, and with a low price, that always deserves.

Nice, original, with good times and fun. They are good things, but they are greatly reduced by the simplicity of the set, its scant content and duration, and some playable themes. Concept Destruction makes you smile, but it doesn't last long, even with its local multiplayer mode.

55 / 100 - Blind Men
May 29, 2020

Blind Men is a novel visual with the curious proposal of parodying the world of classic espionage, handling those who want to become the bad guy in those movies, although the technical execution and script level does not work as well as expected in a video game focused entirely on reading and assimilating the story, but that knows how to become very nice on good occasions.

55 / 100 - Pong Quest
Apr 30, 2020

PONG Quest is a curious and even interesting idea, but as important as having an ingenious idea is knowing how to carry it out. And in this game that is not achieved properly. It's always a pity that potential is wasted, although its single-player mode can offer hundreds of crazy games against the CPU, and its multiplayer mode can give some healthy laughs and good fights between human blades, despite not having much depth in this aspect either.

Galaxy Warfighter appealed to a classic genre within the video game world when it was born on mobile phones. In his jump to more complex platforms he keeps too much of his original system and it shows. But he's capable of hooking you up with dozens of levels of decent shoot'em up, even though completing his hundred stages is another matter, and if you manage to do so, it will be with a huge sense of boredom and monotony.

60 / 100 - Voyage
Aug 18, 2022

With the wonderful growth of narrative games, experience-games, cinematic-games... You name it! In these years of independent releases, Voyage is not going to surprise you with its premise. And neither will it in its execution. Its values are a meritorious artistic performance, and offering that trip in a local cooperative, now also on all the consoles that are still alive. Whoever travels alone -as has been my case- will see faults, will not see more things, although the end of the adventure will be worthwhile. But whoever does it accompanied, will be two hours of their own for both people, giving even more meaning to what we do not see when we are alone.

Original idea, playable design even more original, but with a contained and little used execution. Freddy Spaghetti 2 is the new iteration of one of those crazy ideas that are so popular on the outskirts of video game development. And it deserves our eye on it, but both its lack of ambition to continue developing the enormous potential of the game, as well as a simpler level design, and an enormous shortness in duration, leave this game from interesting to curious. And it's not a small thing either, huh?

Stubbs the Zombie is still what it was more than fifteen years ago, with the good and I'm afraid the bad, but also the good, which is that. A not very long story with zombie jokes, and a leading man who makes himself loved. A pity that there has not been more effort to bring back a title that even the word 'remaster' is too big for. But that retains sparkle and touch at least.

60 / 100 - Thunderflash
May 24, 2021

Thunderflash is another throwback to the classics of three and four decades ago. And it does it well, but it doesn't go any further. It is peppered with game modes and remember our progress in points, credits and level selection. With two simultaneous players, the mythical 2PV,. the thing goes up integers. But it does not do too much either. It complies, and it is not necessary to ask for more.

60 / 100 - Genesis Noir
Apr 2, 2021

If they tell me that they are going to tell me about the Big Bang, the creation, the stars, life, its variables and meanings through a story of a guy who sells watches and watches his girlfriend get shot, it would be totally impossible for me to imagine . And much less in the way of Genesis Noir. I play experience with an art as I have seen very few, and I am not only talking about the world of video games. One button and the mouse / stick and you will move the universe ... literal as well.

60 / 100 - Freddy Spaghetti
Jan 4, 2021

Freddy searches for his place in the world in an adventure of exploration, skill and even with a narrative touch. It's not a very long proposal, nor too complex, but it's curious enough to deserve a look... and to have a little patience in Freddy's curious handling. But should a piece of pasta with its own conscience be handled like other protagonists? One of the most atypical 'heroes' in the world, whatever I say.

El hijo undoubtedly has good ingredients to get attention and stand out: planning an adventure in the Wild West as a pure infiltration game without hitting a single shot is remarkable. The problem is, as happens on so many occasions, making everything work up to the idea generated by the game. In any case, we have an ideal adventure for lovers of the genre, wrapped in a charming story and with an exquisite artistic design, we have to restore the illusion to the children.

That a successful series such as Cobra Kai has not ended up being a game of chess or basketball between the two rival dojos, is what anyone would expect. That it has a powerful RPG component is already a bit more surprising. A technically fair beat'em up, too repetitive and too long. But also, forceful, with an excellent rhythm and distributing wax, polishing wax by hand. The series moves decently into a fun game, even with a debatable and improvable approach.
